Would highly recommend.

Location was superb with fantastic views of the lough, on road parking but right outside of front door. The locals in Portaferry were extremely friendly. An absolutely fantastic time and would definitely recommend Dumigans pub “ the smallest pub in Ireland “. Lovely local walks especially Bluebell Woods. Michael as a host was very accessible, approachable and alway very happy to help.

The property was lovely. Michael has thought of everything, anyone could need. Quality furnishings & the beds were very comfortable, with a harbour view. The hot tub was the icing on the cake! Lovely & warm for our arrival. We had a fun time for my 60th Birthday. Lovely friendly Restaurants, just a few, short steps away & our well behaved Beagle was welcome too🐾 We have decided to return again next year. Just one improvement needed & that is upstairs shower seal needs renewed.

This was one of our best holidays in Ireland. Many attractions in County Down and Armagh are close.

The view across the loch from the cottage was exceptional. It is one of the most delightful places we have visited in Ireland. People were friendly and engaging. We visited many of the surrounding attractions. Our host reacted immediately to a couple of minor issues.

We used the cooking facilities every day. We have listed a few items for our host which would improve the kitchen, e.g. oven gloves.

Fabulous!

This is a beautiful property in a lovely location. Great to explore the Ards Peninsula , the Mournes, Strangford Lough and the local area. Lots of lovely beaches nearby- we had some great swims. A good variety of bars and restaurants within easy walking distance. The house is so lovely and the hosts provided a really thoughtful welcome pack. Looking forward to returning soon!

The location of the property was serene overlooking the harbour, the house was beautiful and everything we needed was at hand. The kitchen was so practical a joy to cook in , the rooms and beds were so comfortable

The hottub could have been a little warmer, the weather was quite cold and the temp of the water didn't allow for as quite a nice experience as we would hv thought.

Beautifully decorated rooms with comfortable furnishings. Two spacious sitting rooms plus smart kitchen/diner. Utility rooms with washing machine and dishwasher. Wonderful setting right on the seafront, just a couple of minutes from pubs, restaurants and shops. Lovely welcome pack with wine, cheeses and meats, bread, butter and milk

Bathroom door hard to close properly, no mirror in smallest bedroom More cutlery and mugs please - would be great if there could be more sets to avoid having to handwash after breakfast, lunch and tea, and to have enough if guests come round. A few more cooking utensils would be great, e.g. large saucepans, potato masher

Fabulous home from home with so much space to spread out and relax . Sparkling clean . What could be better than arriving to a bottle of cold fizz in the fridge and a warm hot tub . Lovely to wake up to a view over the lough.

Being on the shore in Portaferry

The pictures on booking.com do not reflect the reality. There is damp (we have pictures), faulty things (blinds in front bedroom) and it is shabby. I feel cheated. Vastly over priced and falsely represented
