Only good for location

Location is spot on. Walking distance to a quiet side of the beach. Shopping area/Mall/Flea market/eat outs are all a 10-30 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Lean staff but helpful. Rooms were clean but had some funky smell. The only USP of this place is it's location and pricing.

The bathroom and toilet cubicles do not have doors or curtains. There was a bath tub filled with soil & creeper plants and the space had sealed windows which was causing the weird stink I guess.

Melo is a good place to stay in Seminyak if you don't need to feel like part of the royal family!

The Melo is a great hotel, central to shopping and beaches, has an amazing Authentic Bali restaurant right next door, the pool is great, super refreshing and deep!!

Its a little run down, its no new resort but its great value for money.

You get what you pay for...

The pool was great & pretty surroundings, the staff were lovely, the bed extremely comfortable & clean.

The dirt in the bath, trying to grow plants in it , so the guests could not use it...just take it away, unhygienic having soil so close to your toothbrush, shower/ toilet area. My main complaint is the ridiculous shower head some 7ft in the air, making a short person unable to wash shampoo out of hair, not practical at all. The dark slate in the shower area & toilet made it feel like you were in a cave, dark & uninviting. Very outdated. Would not stay again.

Awesome.

The room was absolutely fantastic. For the cost, this hotel was the best i have found. The shower really could use more pressure, but other than that the rooms and bathroom are huge and the staff and location are brilliant. I will stay here again if I have the chance....I highly recommend this place.

Excellent Location, Comfortable, Accomodating staff but cleanliness is lacking.

Excellent location, right in Seminyak centre while also in a quieter location out from the crowds. Close to some very good restaurants. Very comfortable bed. Air con works well. Clean towels and water provided each day.

When we arrived the room we received had an overwhelming bad sewage smell from the bathroom and the bed sheets were stained, and the toilet seat was filthy. We asked to be moved room and the staff were very accomodating. There was no smell in the second room we received but the bed sheets were also stained. The staff then found a clean bed sheet for us. The toilet seat in the new room was also filthy (picture attached).

Great location. 10 min walk to seminyak square. Beach 5 mins walk. Large room with great bathroom. Just off the main road . You do not hear traffic in rooms. Biku restaurant next door is very good.

Location convenient to be able to walk to a wide variety of restaurants and bars - with the advantage of a coffee shop directly across from the hotel entrance

Unterkunft mit Potential

Gefallen hat uns die Größe des Zimmers, die Möglichkeit Tee und Kaffee zuzubereiten, die Freundlichkeit des Personals und deren Hilfsbereitschaft, das super tolle und leckere Beku Restaurant direkt nebenan (gehört aber nicht zum Hotel) .

Leider müssen wir sagen, dass sowohl das Bett, als auch die Handtücher sehr schlecht gerochen haben. So als wäre nicht heiß genug gewaschen worden. Den Geruch der Bettwäsche fand ich persönlich am unangenehmsten, so dass ich tatsächlich einen dünnen Baumwollschlafsack verwendet habe. Aber selbst dadurch war der unangenehme Geruch noch vorhanden. Die Toilettenbrille und der Deckel, der von einigen als "filthy" bezeichnet wurde, sah zwar so aus, war aber vermutlich eher ein Shabby Style. Nicht sehr vorteilhaft für eine Toilette 😉. Auch der Pool hat nicht zum Verweilen eingeladen. Er war sehr trüb und ringsum war der Poolbereich sehr unfertig/eher etwas ungepflegt. Sehr schade eigentlich, denn Potential wäre da, zumal das Personal wirklich herzlich ist. Vielleicht nimmt sich das Hotel die Kritik zu Herzen und ändert etwas. Dann würde ich wiederkommen.
