We found the house warm and welcoming and tastefully decorated. There was everything we needed, and it was a great base for exploring the area. We much appreciated the welcome pack. The river walk across the busy road was great for the dog, as there was no garden as such. There were plenty of towels with large ones for showering. Large towels always get extra points! There are plenty of eating options within walking distance. We would happily book again if we were to be in that area. We were lucky with the weather too, and with the blossom and bluebells out, Matlock looked very pretty.

I hesitate to write any thing negative as we loved the place. But in the interests of making it even better... we struggled with the TV, unable to find the terrestrial channels and watch the news, sport etc live, being dinosaurs and only having a simple set up at home. Also we found we couldn't read well in the lounge or in bed, as we like to do, as the lamps were a bit dim, so bought brighter light bulbs.

Location, clean & comfortable. Pleased with the “goodies” that were left for us.

Badly needs some outside lighting at the side of the house where the car is parked. Very dark. A bit chilly inside till we figured out the heating controls.

Very clean good . Well situated.
