Great location

It was clear that no cleaning had taken place between guests apart from bedding and towels. Dirty towel on the floor, used plaster in the shower, shower was awful. Stained blinds

Basic stay

Amazing location. Walking distance from bars and restaurants. Also good free parking right outside which was helpful

The whole place felt very unclean and we found some stains on towels and the bedding didn’t smell fresh. No attention to details with some rooms not having plug sockets/ bedside tables close by and only one mirror in the whole property. It was also hard to control the temperature as the living room was freezing with the heating on, but the upstairs room got really warm. It was really hard to find the property and it was up slippery, narrow metal steps, so don’t book if you’re afraid of heights! The properly is also not accessible at all due to the steps up to it which wasn’t a problem for us but I can imagine for some people. Also more of a ladder to get to the top bedroom rather than stairs which felt dangerous. Walls were paper thin so you could hear everything and floor boards were very squeaky.

Nice cozy incredible vibe

Nice and cozy, it's got an incredible vibe and homey atmosphere! It was very clean the beds were comfortable and a lovely space for quiet gatherings for the amount of people you can book for! Would definitely rebook here again! Especially given it was in a quiet yet accessible area to the things you need (stores, etc). Very walkable to most places if you fancy a stroll anywhere.

Disappointed and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues

Nice space 3 good size rooms Good location for Kelham Island Short taxi ride from the station

1. No Information about multiple sets of external steep metal steps and very steep internal stairs to top floor bedroom - if you have customers (like me) who have a disability, this place is not suitable 2. ⁠external steps not lit - very dangerous in the dark and wet - it was very slippy and dangerous in the pitch dark 3. ⁠clearer access information should be on the booking.com app with a simple map /plan of the location - why doesn’t your apartment have a number? It took us ages to locate in the pouring rain 4. ⁠a very strong smell of dope throughout the apartment on both days 5. ⁠very poor shower - weak flow 6. ⁠three tea/coffee mugs when we were 5 and the apartment caters for 6 people 7. ⁠no tea towel in the kitchen 8. ⁠no hand towels in bathroom 9. ⁠dirty glass table - see photos 10. ⁠uncomfortable beds / mattresses - too thin 11. ⁠smelly dishwasher 12. Cold walls with no soundproofing

The inside was lovely. It was cleaner when I left than when I arrived. Shower was good though.

The creaky floors. You could hear next door walking as the floors creaked in the apartment. It was also still under renovation but wasnt made aware. I also got locked in the bathroom, as the lock fell out of the door.

The novelty of the building and its location

The loft bed room was quite hard to access and also very hot despite the air conditioning. Kitchen was under equipped. Eg only 3 cups in a 6 person apartment. Bed linen although clean was very crumpled.

Clean and Well-Located, but Not Suitable for Families or Light Sleepers

The apartment was very clean and in a great spot — close to shops, restaurants, and just a short walk from the Supertram, which made getting around really easy.

That said, it’s not well-suited for families with young children, light sleepers, or older guests. The floors are extremely squeaky throughout, and the walls are thin, so you can hear everything from other rooms. The old windows do little to block out street noise, including traffic, sirens, and people passing by — sleep was a struggle, even during the day. There’s also a pointed overhanging countertop at toddler head height — our child bumped into it, which could’ve been worse. The shower is very slippery, and the bathroom door lock is loose and at risk of falling off, which could leave someone stuck inside. Although advertised as a 3-bedroom apartment, one bedroom is only accessible via steep attic stairs, and the ceiling is so low you have to crawl to get into bed. Definitely not ideal for anyone with mobility concerns or over 6ft tall. Access to the apartment itself involves climbing two flights of outdoor metal stairs — something to keep in mind if you're bringing luggage, strollers, or travel cots. Overall, it's a clean, convenient place for heavy sleepers or solo travelers, but I wouldn’t recommend it for families, the elderly, or anyone needing a quieter or more accessible stay.

I was unable to stay as the host emailed that morning to say it had been double booked and I was to get a refund through booking.com send it to the host and they would then get me alternative accommodation. I have subsequently reported this and await my refund. Not a good experience - frankly quite stressful!

Perfect base for Kelham Island family wedding.

Beautifully appointed apartment in heart of Kelham Island that was perfect as a base for my daughter's wedding. The amazing view from living area and balcony added to the special feeling we had getting ready for the big day. Being within walking distance of the wedding venue, free parking and great directions added to the experience. Thank you.

It was a hot weekend and having a few more fans would have helped with keeping cool. A couple of extension leads would have been nice too.

Disappointed

This is a difficult review to write, the good bit was location when you got there, as Council pedestrianisation, makes getting there difficult. We made it a great event, and enjoyed ourselves, but the property was disappointing.

Where do I start. Misrepresentation: I agreed that the photographs are accurate, but they need to be seen in context, and the description does not fully describe the property. 1. It felt like living in an uncomplete building site, with Chipboard walls, not my idea of "industrial Chic" 2. The location of the property is close to a busy arterial Road, so be it. But there are heavy road noises and emergency sirens at ALL times of the day, not really "romantic" 3. "Private Bathroom" I suppose when you lock the door it is private [lock broken], also basic and shower poor. But you cannot call it private when it has to accommodate in our case 5 adults and 2 children. It is advertised as accommodating 8!!!. Probably a family of 4 might work. 4. Attic Room, accessed by a set of very very steep steps, and alternating step staircase adds to the challenge, also very hot with no ventilation. 5. External access. Whilst the photographs ARE accurate, there is no indication in the property description, that you have to go up 2 flights of stairs, difficult for those with less mobility, a fear of heights or take suitcases in and out, I was knackered. 6. "Free Parking" It was only 1 hour before, on receipt of entry information that it was disclosed that there was only one parking space. A significant problem when its a family get together from 3 different locations and 3 cars. An additional cost for on street parking. 7. Limited Kitchen facilities even for a family of 4, and the Rug in the lounge was curled and a serious trip hazard. 8. In other reviews it, comments on the quality of the welcome pack. In our case there was a single packet of crisps, and a couple of biscuits, probably we get there after the mice did.

Not the best

This place is cheaply built felt like we were in a construction / uncompleted building. The room in the attic was extremely hot and the stairs was so unsafe to climb it’s a massive health and safety hazard. The hot way in the shower doesn’t work consistently. Going from extremely hot to extremely cold.

The third attic room needed improvement as there's no light switch, no window and no handrails, up a rather steep staircase.

It was perfect for what we needed and would stay again but probably only in the summer.

Well equipped apartment, 3 spacious bedrooms. Welcome snacks and sweets, nice touch upon arrival. Clean and tidy, an effort had been made and it was very welcoming. 20 minute walk from town, great in the summer.

The neighbours smoke weed and the smell comes into the flat which we were greeted with upon arrival, not great especially when you are a family. The entrance to the building at the front stairway before you locate the apartment is not nice, fine in the summer but would not like to do it in the dark winter.

Disappointing

Property was spacious, private and comfortable enough.

Visited with my family to see my little boy for his birthday, we made the most of it and had a great time but the apartment was unacceptable. Was very dirty upon arrival. Spilled food stains in fridge, dirty cupboards, dirty floor which hadn’t been vacuumed at all, dirty plates were left in dishwasher. Only two forks, no baking tray for oven, no instructions for electric hob which didn’t work, no tin opener or bottle opener. Toilet seat hanging off, radiator hanging off wall. Looked like there had been a party before we had arrived and nobody cleaned the place. Lacked the very basics and couldn’t even cook anything. The host provided some cutlery and towels once requested but overall not up to standard at all. He did apologise and originally offered a partial refund but not received anything since.
