The property was in a great location on the west side of the city and right by the park. The shared spaces had lovely amenities (full kitchen, large fridge, etc.) that we were able to use. Our room was clean, comfortable and was plenty of room for two.

A very charming place in a beautiful historic building, yet it's remarkably quiet. The location is excellent: there are affordable shops nearby, and it’s only a 15-17 minute walk to both the center of Bruges and the train station. The owner is incredibly sweet, welcoming, and helpful! There is a functional shared kitchen and a proper bathtub. A wonderful extra touch was the complimentary water and even beer provided in the fridge.
The main downside was that it got very, very hot under the roof. To be fair, I stayed there just before a major heatwave, so it’s more a question of where it wasn't hot during those days, but it's still an area that could be improved. Additionally, the water pressure in the shower was quite weak, so you can take a slow shower).

Initially, I wasn't happy with the cleanliness of the bathroom. But the worst surprise came the next day. The description on Booking.com said there was free street parking. This is not true; in the morning I went to have breakfast and when I returned there was a €40 parking fine. In other words, the information was incorrect, and the amount I paid for the room plus the fine didn't make it worthwhile.
