Very good house, prime location but host needs to manage their house properly. Worth to stay once the small issues are s

The location is excellent. Very close to pier. Beds are comfortable, clean and cozy.

1. The host knows the booking to this property will be for more than 5people. So, they need to make sure there was sufficient toilet paper. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 babies. We were given only 1 and half roll of toilet paper. 2. Host needs to change general information. Like WiFi info given was completely wrong. The correct WiFi information is different. 3. The host needs to know what’s in the house. Eg: Host information says enjoy kitchen compliments. But there was no sugar, tea bags or any coffee. The coffee machine was broken. There was no cooking oil. There was no dish washing scrub but provided dishwashing liquid. There was only 2 dishwasher tablet, 1x laundry pod. So, if someone is booking for more than a day, the host needs to make sure there are sufficient basic condiments. 4. Parking in the area is problematic. Again host needs to provide support upfront. 5. Host knows there are babies coming and the booking provides travel cot and high rise chairs. So, host provides high rise chairs but expects to let know about travel cot. Doesn’t make sense. The house is good. But host needs to spend / show more care on who is booking and what’s in the house. The house is good value but all these above basic issues makes it unworthy.

Location was perfect, very cosy and comfortable .

The sofa bed is good as a bed but not to sit on a sofa .

Great location had all the basics for a long weekend

The location was great especially with a bus stop down the street for easy access to the harbour. A toilet on each floor which is handy when there are 5 guests. The house had all the basic things we needed to prepare quick meals.

The sofas weren't particularly comfortable and the house was fairly cold downstairs. I sent a message on Sunday morning to say a light switch was broken in one of the bathrooms and it's now past 24 hours later and I've still not had a reply. It wasn't a major issue as I would have called, however I got a message to ask for our check out time but not a response to something that needed a reply.

Pretty ordinary place good location

The location

Cold heater had low battery flashing so not working. Fridge felt like the door was going to fall off Dirty Door handle on upstairs bedroom broken. Shower head in 3 rd floor didn’t stay put. No dishwasher tablets No instructions on the tv to work Bedside lamps not enough for each bed

Great starting location for exploring and comfortable evenings with a great nights sleep.

The beds and towelling we excellent. The apartment is in an excellent location for exploring the area, and nice to have a dedicated parking place, in a gated courtyard. Two bathrooms plus an extra toilet was great, with comfortable furniture.

A few items were missing that we would have expected but it did not spoil our time there

Needs maintenance and more care in making it welcoming for guests

Location was great, beds comfortable and rooms were spacious. Off street parking was easily accessible and useful as finding parking can be a challenge in this area. We were approved for early check in however in the end we didn't use it. The communication back from the property manager was reasonable to deal with the issues raised and they did resolve some of the issues, fridge (sort of) and toilet paper and offered to refund our cleaning fee. Otherwise communication was all very automated.

The property did not feel prepared for guests, the fridge door did not close properly resulting in needing to use a chair to close the fridge and the temperature being all over the place. The sink had no plug to do dishes, the dish soap provided was also watered down. And there were either specifically only 3 dishwasher capsules provided or luckily that were left over from previous people... And no bin bags. One of the stove gas plates was missing. The toilets had no hand soap nor toilet paper available, the toilet paper holder in the second floor bathroom was broken. The carpet in the room upstairs was stained The wall paint was chipped in multiple places. The photos are staged. And the property while it does have all the important equipment, it is soulless This place needs some tlc.

Absolutely filthy and disgusting

The location was good. That’s it.

Absolutely filthy, dirty floors and heavily stained and dirty carpets, walls are disgraceful, bathrooms dirty with stained and mouldy shower curtains, cutlery covered in dried on food - absolutely everything was disgusting. Mould, pieces of broken mirror on the floor which was really sharp - dangerous for my toddler as well as my older children. Door handles falling off and not fitted properly, my daughter got trapped in a bedroom. At first I was offered compensation whilst I was there, it never came despite promises, then all of a sudden all has gone quiet and I’m being completely ignored. I will be taking it further. I tried to send photos / videos numerous times whilst there but they’re not interested. Stayed 17th to 24th May 2025. Sadly I can only add 4 photos to the review.

Lovely house in great location, a few easy to fix niggles

Loved the beds and crisp white bed linen. Location was great - a couple of minutes to beach and shop and less than 10 minutes walk to some really nice restaurants. French doors onto balconies were lovely. Decor design was modern and fresh.

Some cleaning in less visible areas was missed e.g the oven was dirty. Other than that a few minor maintenance issues (eg broken toilet roll holder) that didn''t spoil our stay. Communication felt automated - didn't acknowledge my communications.

A comfortable stay in a great location.

The property was bigger than we expected. It was lovely and clean - and comfortable. The location was excellent.

Some kind of welcome pack would be an improvement. Some milk, bread or biscuits to keep us going until we could get to a shop would have been very welcome. There were a few milk pouches in the fridge and some coffee pouches and tea bags.

Secure parking, staff were very friendly. Spacious rooms. Close to shops and the beach. We enjoyed our stay at Southsea Coastal Comfort Getaway and would stay here again.
