There are 3 Adults Myself and 2 young ladies with LD I cannot fault the staff Everyone was very friendly and very helpful Our family room was very nice and big with a big bathroom Beds were comfortable the only negative was it was the room was cold but the temperature outside was very cold so it didn't help. We had a meal in the restaurant which was excellent Breakfast was included in our stay Which again was excellent Definitely recommend

Very clean and comfortable. A few little things that you would expect from an old property but overall a good experience. Central location with plenty of parking. All the staff were delightful and nothing was too much trouble for them

The staff was excellent. The room I had was very dated, but clean. Again the bathroom was a bit dated and could have had a shaving mirror. The shower is very strong and loads of very hot water. The breakfast was excellent and very filling.

Parking good Good choice of food

Room was clean and the staff welcoming. Breakfast was well cooked. Downside was the height of the bed meant getting in and out difficult. Perhaps for shorter people a footstool in the room would be useful.

Ample parking and in centre of town with plenty of shops and restaurants close by

I booked multiple rooms for a week for work and all the rooms were very very tired. The pub itself is okay but the rooms are definitely in need of upgrading. The bathrooms havent been touched since the 50's

Wasnt bad. But wanted a preserve my food for the next day but No fridges. Went to reception. But they claimed they cant keep my food for the next day

Lovely room, comfy bed. Excellent food. Easy parking and wonderful staff.

We stayed in the family room in the attic it was alright but wouldn’t rush back, our double bed was comfy but boys beds were very hard, it was clean but very very dated lighting was very poor, tv very small, no lifts and getting big heavy suitcases up all them stairs was a struggle. But the town was nice canny few pubs in town

The car parking is free, don’t use the park and pay machine; the sign is misleading. You can get your money back (I haven’t managed), it’s hard to speak to a person from Britannia parking!

Its a wonderful Pub/Restaurant. The rooms and the equipment is a little bit old, buts that the charm of such a Pub/Hotel. Good Menue. Save carpark

Comfortable stay. The only problem was the shower leaking all over the bathroom floor. It was on a solid bar and not adjustable. Tried everything with the shower curtain to keep the floor protected. I think because the show rail is straight and doesn’t curve round the end of the bath, this causes the problem.

Bathroom was nothing short of a disgrace. The last person's Toothpaste all over the taps and generally unclean. The shower also floods, and the flush barley works. Looked like something from the 70's. Silicon about 2" wide

The rooms do require refurbishing and although clean they look a little tired. The hotel caters for visitors with pets. We were extremely disappointed that our room was in a section of the hotel where dogs barking kept us awake for most of the night. We reported this to reception staff when checking out and received a half hearted apology

Nice rooms and lovely pub with great food. Would definitely stay again. Parking is free for hotel guests.

Bar staff were incredibly rude. A number of us staying in the hotel wanted to sit and play cards in the evening and were refused service, told we had 10 minutes before we had to to 'get out' and were shouted at by a very hostile lady to go to our rooms. Extremely unfriendly and condescending.

Receptionist was great. Really helpful and attentive. Parking is a real bonus and transport links are good as the train station is a short walk away. Unfortunately on the second night and the second morning for breakfast our experience was not as good. We returned to the hotel to have a night cap and we found the young lady on the bar quite rude. We understood that last orders are called at 22.55 and that you have to sit in reception from 23.15. Bring rushed to shut the till off is not great from a customer service point of view. Breakfast on the Sunday morning was a bit of a miss than a hit. The sausages were cold in the middle and the tomato missed the grill. Not a fan of mushrooms frozen or tinned and not pan fried as described. These slight blemishes on our stay would not put us off going back though and our room was all fine.
