Bukit Taman Cottages

The staff is very, very nice, welcoming, ready to help and very kind. They helped us with what we needed (ex: ferry, taxi) The view is very nice. The property area is nice, you have a pool with a nice view. The room looked traditional and the area is peaceful. There was an electrical shortage on the entire island and they had already an emergency light which was very welcomed.

The location is not convienient if you do not have a scooter rented. It is quite far from the town and also you do not have too many options to get there. We had a taxi but it was quite expensive, ~5E per way.

What a stunning view! The staff went the extra mile. They are very friendly and helpful. The room is well-equipped with a fridge even a emergency light.

There are a lot of very uneven stairs. Some very steep. The shower was slippery. We did not realize that it is so far from the restuarants and activities.

The view was lovely, staff were very nice and pool area was also very nice. Bed had nets which was a nice touch and room was spacious.

The bathroom as can be seen in the pictures is on the outside, we had other hotels with outside bathrooms but they had a half roof to cover the toilet area unlike this one! The 'roof' of the bathroom was very narrow and the toilet would got soaked when it rains and the shower is also fully outside without a roof to cover it which was not very nice to use especially during the night. We used the service of laundry unfortunately it was raining during those days and the staff failed to tell us that they still air dry on lines, so when we were leaving we had to pack damp clothes after paying for the service (we paid a reduced price but still we had to take everything to another dry cleaner again). they offer breakfast, lunch and dinner but dinner's last order is at 19.00hrs which is not very efficient especially since nearby eateries are around 10 mins walk from there and it is very very very dark to walk alone during the night. We chose this hotel as it looked near the port but it is still around 15-20mins away from port so you will still need a taxi if you have a lot of luggage. Also in the evenings it gets very dark so you still need to rent a taxi/bike, had we known we wouldn't have chosen this location.
