Church St. Retreat, Filey

Fabulous place. Great location. Lots of thought had gone into the apartment. Lots of extra touches and the welcome hamper was beautiful. Everything had been thought of including DVDs, games, books etc. Great taste in decor, super comfy beds and spotlessly clean.

Only downside was no allocated parking space, but we managed to find a spot on the street directly opposite the apartment.

Relatively quiet location - it's opposite a pub but there wasn't really a problem with noise, just the occasional chat of people coming and going very convenient for local amenities e.g. Tesco and the bus station. Very well equipped, though a few more mugs might be useful. Comfortable seating. Furnishings and utensils good quality. Beds comfortable, Excellent selection of games & DVDs. Welcome pack including biscuits, nibbles and prosecco. Plenty of feabags, coffee and milk to get you started. Very detailed instructions for all appliances. Personally, I liked to see Faith in Nature and Miniml toiletries & the was an ample supply of shampoo, shower gel, body lotion.

Not much. We were staying with our granddaughter, who had the second bedroom to herself. I suspect that two sharing might hzve found it on the small side. Not a problem to us but a washing up bowl would reduce water consumption, something we are aware of in this very arid summer.

We loved everything about the property. The owners had thought of everything we might possibly need.

In hindsight I would have preferred a dedicated parking spot rather than looking for street parking.

Clean and spacious. Good location. Fabulous welcome pack. When we informed them that the filter coffee pot was cracked they immediately replaced it.

Nothing
