Great location Clean Homely

Front door was difficult to lock Outside space was open so not always easy with kids.

Good location close to town centre. Comfortable and cosy.

The stairs they are no good with someone who has mobility issues and should tell you that on the time of booking

Good location.

1) No carbon monoxide monitor in bedroom with boiler, not even on same floor (UK regulations), according to host is kept in locked cupboard on lower floor - so we didn’t feel safe. 2) Dog hair (presumably - as short, coarse and plentiful) on all floors, sofa/chairs, on and in beds. 3) Bedding appeared thrown on (slept in? by dog?!) so had to remake beds. 4) Dirty/greasy glasses and some crockery in cupboards - had to wash everything prior to use. 5) Heating control console not functioning so unable to increase/operate central heating (although perhaps safer given the CO as above!) so, given east coast early Oct, quite cold in most areas of the property most of the time. 6) Poor communication with host. Raised all concerns - especially safety issue - to host via Bookings messaging service (no alternative contacts in the property guidebook) but no workable solutions offered/no action taken; host seemed unable to accept our concerns as claimed they had ‘not been raised before’ and ultimately seemed to take offense accusing us of being ‘simply rude’ for raising multiple issues when ‘previous reviews have been good’ - then reverted to ignoring us completely; in particular did not address issue re CO monitor except to state that it is kept on a lower floor behind locked door and that we would not be permitted access to it to move it to a safe/appropriate location as there were also ‘thousands of pounds of stores’ locked away too - which she presumably thought we might take, whereas we actually just didn’t want to die in our sleep.
