Mallards Barn on a rural farm

Very clean and comfortable property. Slept so well ! Hosts were very friendly and helpful. Very peaceful setting but not far to pretty villages and places to explore. Good quality furnishings and bedding. The host also supplied a welcome pack which included milk , bread, butter and fresh eggs which was much appreciated. We had a lovely relaxed stay which met all of our expectations.

Third time staying here, this time with friends in Mallards Barn. Loved the open plan living area and both bedrooms big and comfy, so no fighting over the best room. So peaceful and quiet with beautiful views. Thank you Peter and Jane for a wonderful stay. Sure we’ll be back.

Just a very minor point, a shower head on the bath would be useful but managed fine.

Great location. Quiet but within minutes of main road for easy access to Monmouth and Newport. Accomodation immaculate, contemporary style with one ensuite bathroom and one famy bathroom. Able to control heating which generally didn't need but useful when you have some washing to dry. Host there to greet us on arrival, super nice without being intrusive. Complimentary bread, milk, butter, coffee and tea. Also small supply of dish washer tablets and washing up liquid.

Shower pressure in ensuite not great but this was off set by the fantastic bath in the family bathroom. Not a problem for us as we don't have a dog. Dogs only allowed in front garden which is enclosed for safety. A bench or patio set in this area would probably be appreciated by dog owners so that they could sit out with their pet.
