A very comfortable cottage, in a great location. Was perfect for a cosy stay whilst visiting family and easy to reach other places. Lovely view over the river too. Parking available just across the road.

Lovely apartment with all the facilities you need

Nicely decorated and comfortabel bedrooms with each their own bathroom. And a very friendly host.

It’s in a unusual spot, next to a busy road/cross road. Food delivery driver couldn’t find it. Also, it looked clean at first glance. But it good use a bit more attention. Found other peoples’ stuff.

Fabulous

Gorgeous clean cottage well located for Elland and surrounding areas. The host let us leave our bags and food in the cottage ahead of check in time and was very responsive when contacted. We loved our stay!

Only thing missing is a garden but it can't be helped. Gorgeous cottage at a very reasonable price.

All in all, a great place to stay, we would definitely stay again.

The location was perfect for our requirements. The bedrooms and bathrooms were perfectly clean, with the most comfortable beds. Communications with the host was great, she kindly accommodated our, earlier than planned, arrival.

Some areas of the cottage were a little “cobwebby” and could maybe do with a little attention to detail.

We enjoyed our stay but it could easily have been so much more than a “7”

Great location for attending an event at The Piece Hall. Two double bedrooms with bathrooms and a loo downstairs was ideal for two couples.

Cleaning standards were mixed. Beds, linens and kitchen and bathroom overall were good but high level cleaning and detail was disappointing. Cobwebs on walls, ceilings and between light fittings internally. First appearance outside is let down by big build up of cobwebs on door and outside lights. Dust build up on shower room expelair, behind toilet and tops of pictures and mirrors, fireplace. The books in the front windows were scattered with dead insects and dust that we saw on arrival from outside… Items that we would have expected as essential equipment such as tea towels, kitchen roll, foil and cling film were not provided and meant a shopping trip to Morrisons. We also had to purchase a fourth bowl so as we could all have cereal at the same time… The water system is noisy and temperature of water was hard to control with four people using facilities

Comfortable cottage with a great host

Ruth was extremely helpful answering my questions and helping to make my stay more enjoyable with advice on walks in the area. The lockbox is great for gaining access. The bed was very comfortable with lovely pillows and duvet. I enjoyed a bath in the very lovely bath. The property is close to town and the supermarket. It does have views of the river through the trees.

The location was too noisy for me as it was next to a busy road, I always take ear plugs so sleeping wasn't a problem. There was no privacy as cars stop right outside the lounge window. Some milk would have been nice for a cup of tea.

The location is good but on a very busy road. The beds are comfy. The place was clean.

The toilet in the same room as the master bed. And the musky / mouldy smell of the utilities room.

Nice Cottage for a short break

Convenient location and ideal for an overnight or weekend stay. Unsure if it was damaged but the lack of a blind/curtain in the main bedroom was disappointing as there was a lack of privacy and too bright early in the morning

Would definitely stay again

Great little place to stay and ideal for a business trip or short vacation visiting the area. Comfy beds, all facilities needed available and a selection of local pubs, takeaways and restaurants to suit most people. Morrisons just up the road for those staying longer who may wish to shop and cook.

Wifi wasn’t great but can’t blame the hosts, that’s a BT issue.

Restful night sleep on SO,SO comfortable beds after car journey and day enjoying local hospitality / gig in Halifax.

Location is great,with parking nearby (opposite); easy access via keysafe and the initial impression is good. The standard of furnishings,bedding and kitchen appliances/equipment is excellent . Hot water is VERY hot, great views of the river to rear. Absolutely fabulous mattresses Good info from Ruth on locality & taxi info

Minor inconveniences: No drainer for washing up, only one Teas towel. Trees at rear block river view- cut down or drastic trim needed
