The Comfy House

Collin was easy to reach and always available to answer queries. The environment was well put together, has cooking facilities, toiletries in both bathroom and toilet, linen, all you need for your trip from home, including electric blankets. This property has stairs, with rails/rope to assist with going up/down. Downstairs toilet has few steps as well. This was challenging for me due to my mobility needs.My kids loved the room in the loft. You have access to watch your favourite TV shows, netflix, etc, in the rooms. Rooms are spacious, beds comfy. It does get really cold at night, so have layers ready, as it gets very cold when the heating goes out. However, Colin ensured that the heating times synced with how we used the property, and that was a plus! Realy nice host ! Modern facilities, close to amenities and easy routes to local supermarkets. Parking is available, but the street is very narrow, which is a pain if two cars are parked parallel to each other, granting the size of the cars. We booked to spend hols with family over the Christmas season, and we will definitely return if needed, but in the summertime, as Yorkshire can be very cold. Quiet location.

I didn't like that the downstairs toilet wasn't very accessible, considering that the other one was upstairs as well. The beds are all pushed against the wall in a fixed position, so you don't have your own exit at the side, only one electrical outlet at one side of the bed.

The location was ideal, within easy access to Huddersfield. It was great to have somewhere to relax and make your own food, snacks, coffee, etc, whenever you wanted, unlike a hotel. Full cooking facilities, we were able to have our second Christmas with our family, cooked a Christmas dinner and ate at a table. Fridge, freezer, oven, micro, kettle, washer/drier. Access to a garden, bbq area, hot tub, if wanted. Tea, coffee, salt, pepper, cereal, squash, shower gel, towels, bedding, etc, available. DVDs, books, board games, playstation, Alexa, large TV downstairs with access to many channels, TVs in bedrooms, earphones, ample storage. Loved the quirky storage and clever design to use every available space. Cosy and warm at all times. Colin the host was great, met us when we got there and saw us off when we left. Gave us his telephone number if we needed anything. Communication was great and available if we needed any help.

I liked everything and would not change anything, however, you need to be aware that this is a cottage and although great use of space has been made it could be tight or harder to access some places with mobility problems, e.g. the downstairs toilet, the shower and the stairs.

The accommodation was great. ideal for multiple people when they want to spend time together. Cleanliness, coffee and small snacks in addition. Collin was a great host. I would love to come back again. I recommend it to everyone. Peter

Exceptional property, very clean, great house great host

Nothing to dislike

Colin, the host, was brilliant. Very fast responses to any questions I had before arriving and then met at property and shown round with nothing being too much trouble for him. The place itself was absolutely lovely, very clean and comfortable and felt like a second home for us all while we were there. Located short walk from town and bus stop at end of road with good connections. Can not recommend this place enough and thanks for giving us all a lovely stay away.

There was nothing that puts this place down. Just know that the stairs to bedrooms are a little steep but other than that, place was perfect.

Everything was covered. The host has paid such close attention to detail when setting up this property, was friendly, and more than accommodating if we needed anything. Amazing from start to finish, kids were entertained with the many options they had as were we, close by to everything you need, what more could you ask? Truly is a home from home that we will most definitely book again!

Colin was exceptional with giving details and made our stay very comfortable.

The Comfy House was just what we were looking for. It was in a good location for our needs. The Owner Colin was extremely friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome straight away! The house was very clean with a lovely courtyard / Garden Well kept. The accomodation was perfect and it really made it feel like a home from home! Would definately use it again! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 😊

There was not anything we did not like!,

Facilities were good, 2nd toilet downstairs was appreciated. Back yard with hot tub looked good, would suit a family with children. Hosts very helpful.

More tea towels needed, heating was a issue but host was helpful. Lockbox was in a complicated place for a older person.

Lovely and homely absolutely lovely place even had a games console!!! Hot tub was amazing Will definitely be using again !

Comfy house was excellent. Great place to stay whilst visiting relatives Colin the host was friendly and attentive. Definitely stay again. House had some great features and was as it said..comfy!

Breakfast was different cereals that had been open, so god knows who had them before ? So we didn't bother having them.

Shower was nice

The play room was awsome. Easy parking. Ps4 and large tv Board games we enjoyed Kitchen was nice and tidy. Downstairs toilet which was good. Large closet in the bedroom The shower was standard I'd say Quiet neighbours Comfy dovet and pillow very soft but mattress no where near comfy Hot tub was good

1. Hot tub - no gazebo and neighbours overlooking the hit tub so felt exposed. 2. Downstairs toilet sink - hadn't been used in a long time brown water came out. Worried about legionnaires. 3. Carpets - burns in downstairs and bedroom . 4. Electric cables - over services pipes potentially dangerous, outside armoured doesn't look earthed. 5. Play room - no smoke alarm couldn't let my son sleep up there. No banister for the first bit of coming down the stairs. 6. Outside stairs - no banister over the solid steps. Fall hazard of about 5ft 7. Missing items - garden items paid extra for, coal bags little items ect 8. Unfinished wood work all around the building 9. This may just be me but thumb turn locks for front and back door would have me feel a bit more safe in an emergency. 10. Beds - We personally really didn't like how hard the beds were and actually left a day early as our backs were in agony. 11 . Owner - owner seemed nice and pleasant enough however, on arrival we got a video message stating if we put the wrong item in the bins we will be charged for this. If his cleaner takes longer than her contracted hours we would also have this taken from the deposit. ( we got full deposit back) which the whole time made us feel on edge about leaving with even a crumb on the floor. 12. No remote for electric recliners which made them uncomfortable Kept trying to video call without asking if we was comfortable with a video call. Fair enough it was to see how we was settling ect but would of preferred a phone call. Was required to stip bedding on departure which we found should part of any sort of room rental. So all in all may aswell not hire a cleaner as the guests are pretty much required to do all the cleaning. On booking it looked like the hot tub was included in the house.

Loved the host, location and comfortability.

It was cold at times. I bet the summer is the best time to stay here
