Close to the beach and entertainment. Excellent price with free parking.

Blood up the steps as you walk in, approximately 30 bags of rubbish to the rear of the property. I stayed for 2 nights and left. Would not recommend. Id ideally like a refund but doubt theyd accommodate that.

Enjoyed the convenience of location, car parking was a really good bonus. I few small details in the room m, we feel was a little below par. Though in the hole, no complaints and would definitely use again

The staff were lovely and very friendly. The hotel is beautiful. Very clean. The beds were unbelievable comfy, best 3 nights sleep I’ve ever had in a hotel. I stayed there with my two children and we will definitely be returning.

Friendly and welcoming staff. Free parking. The suite we were staying in, was on the top floor, had good size rooms and nice bathroom. Fridge, plenty of teas and coffees and toiletries available. Clean bedding and towels. Unfortunately room was full od dust and cobwebs, there was no bulb in a floor lamp and no tea spoons only soup spoons - all of it did not affect our stay. Reviews are bad but that wasn't my overall experience, overall it was ok. For the price I paid I really have no complaints. It's a cheap budget hotel in a cheap seaside town, we went for a night away before the kids went back to school & this place was perfectly ok for this. It's old, in need of decoration & updating all round. Cleanliness could be better, but bathroom was clean, as was the bedding & towels. The lady at reception was great, friendly & very willing to help, she is a credit to the hotel & elevated the experience by just being nice & helpful. Breakfast was a surprise, not advertised as included but they provided cereals, yogurts & toast with tea, coffee, fruit juices for free, very simple but was kept stocked up by the same lady & again as above totally unexpected & free! Maybe we got lucky with the room (302) compared to other reviews, but I went with low expectations, knowing I had booked a very cheap place so that we could spend more on ice creams and having fun & this place done it's job. Location is excellent, literally a few mins walk to the pier, parking is available & I was allowed to leave my car there the day I checked out until before 2pm so again another perk & saves on parking. Reviews referring to a club next door are misleading, it's a members style working mans club & my window was directly next door & had no issues with noise etc. Wouldn't I rush back to stay, but i would go back. Slightly better cleaning & do the place up & could be a real gem.

The 2 female receptionists were amazing and i could not wish for better help that i got from both of them as they were always willing to help. Free parjing was excellent.

3 stars is a fair score for this hotel in Skegness. On our arrival we were confronted by a door, with a piece of paper taped to it, with phone number attached and a message that read. "Arrivals call number", so we called and were told the door was open. We were met at the reception by a lady who was initially very matter of fact. She did in fairness become more pleasant as our stay went on, (as a side note exceot breakfast this lady was the only staff member we saw during our visit). The room locks are unique. You wave your hand across a digital panel, a screen with numbers on appears and you enter a code given to us on a postit note by the lady at reception. On entering the room was nothing like what was advertised. It was small and looked out onto the tiles of a roof that had clearly been sprayed with weedkiller looking at the state of weeds. The back panel was off the door lock was midsing, so we could see the batteries. The tea and coffee was minimal, and the whole hotel looked like it needed a good clean. It was not filthy, just untidy and we never saw a cleaner or any staff during our visit. The breakfast is free, albeit minimal, toast and a selection of cereals, juice and coffee, but it is free. The shower was good and the bathroom was tidy. The bed was comfy, a bit rickety but we slept well. I feel that if the lady we saw is the only member of staff except for the young lady at breakfast then she has her work cut out. Good for a short break or long weekend.

The room I paid for was not given on arrival. The manager was argumentative when spoken to, and didn't care. She had a pull over dressing gown on and shades. The room was dirty, nowhere for clothes to be hung although wardrobes shown on photos, no hot water in shower, bathroom disgustingly dirty, TV didn't work, no Netflix like advertised (photos taken of the entire stay at the hotel to show this) The door plate had broken glass hanging out and the vending machines where completely empty. it was an absolute shambles...

The lady

To be honest on arrival, from the outside we wasn't expecting much. But as I've always been told " never judge a book by it's covers" the hotel lobby and the downstairs were very pleasing on the eye.... We had a standard double suite, and on opening the door, loved it, it's was clean, beautifully decorated, and the bathroom.... What can I say a double shower and a extra large bath! The bed was comfortable,the price we paid for what we got were very acceptable, then there was the additional bonus of a free breakfast. I have read quite a few reviews for this hotel and personally cannot understand where you are coming from. We have booked for Christmas

It was great room was fine staff was fine . Clare was wonderful n chatty. Manager was good too. Would stay there again. 10 out 10

We have stayed at the ivy before. Comfortable bed, room is basic but that's all you need really in Skegness. Secure entrance and entry to the room. Look forward to going back again.

No keys needed

It’s a bit tired & needs updating. I couldn’t use the shower without holding it in my hand & laying it in the bath while I washed myself. We had to go up a few steps to our room & the carpet was awful. Wouldn’t stay again.

Was average room painted over bathroom floor felt like it had lino over uneven floor hiding damage had to wait 1 hr extra to check in as he said had no electricity but i had to ring a reception number of front door to find out a curtesy call wood have been nice shows a bar on photo metal shutters on un manned

They advertised on the Expedia website that breakfast included and this is not the case. It was generally a self serve apartment than a ‘hotel’ which it advertises to be

Me and my husband stayed overnight in Skegness while visiting a friend who lives near by . I chose the hotel because of private parking . However if it was full to capacity and everyone had a car there would be nowhere near enough room . A sign in the door was offering rooms for £35 and that’s about right. ( for us this was a free night from hotel.com ) The bed was extremely uncomfortable . Very low and a mattress that was more like a trampoline ( and not much thicker ) with a dip in the middle . No bedside lamps, hand towels , or bath mat for outside the shower. On a positive note the room and bathroom , although in need of a little tlc were clean , and the hotel is a few minutes walk from the Main Street on the front, with restaurants and pubs nearby . The gentleman who greeted us was extremely friendly, polite . This is not the best place we have stayed in , but it is also not the worse . For youngsters who just want a place to crash after a night out , it is probably ideal . Alas not so ideal for a semi retired couple .
