As always a very relaxing and happy stay.

Love the size of the house and the fact it has a downstairs bedroom and en suite. It is a quiet area and is close to the shop the town and the beach. The owners are very welcoming and accommodating. We have been a few times and will return in the future.

Luxury home finished to perfection

Pauline Met us on arrival to hand over the keys and give us a run down on how everything in the house worked, she was very friendly and welcoming. The house itself was immaculate, the facilities are exceptional and every detail was finished to perfection. The house location is brilliant (2 minute walk to the shop) 5-10 minute walk from the town, beach and mournes. We had a brilliant time and will be back 😃

Relaxing luxury in a convenient location

Good communication in advance and thoughtful welcome treats much appreciated. So glad we pivoted to this property, away from our original plan to stay in a hotel. Absolutely worthy of its five stars, it was the perfect place to bring together our grown-up family for the weekend of our 40th wedding anniversary. Production values for the refurbishment of the house were very high and there are so many beautiful things to be enjoyed - and the wow factor of the accommodation made its own contribution to the weekend. It’s perfectly located for a quick arrival from Belfast, without having to drive around Newcastle’s one-way system, very close to the Slieve Donard Hotel and Villa Vinci for eating, though Pauline‘s recommendation of Picolo pizza for a takeaway was also a good one. Greatly appreciated the warm welcome from our hostess on arrival and local knowledge which steered us away from an event bringing large crowds to the centre of the town and towards the Trassey Track for our access to the high Mournes. Lovely to have the hot tub and the open plan living area opening onto the garden to return to after a day’s hiking. An ideal spot to stay for exploring the countryside, or playing golf – but would also be great if the weather were bad, since the interiors are worth a journey in themselves.

Loved it

We loved this house. The beds were comfy, the hot tub was lovely. The whole place was so nice to enjoy for the 2 nights we were there. Pauline provides so much detail. This is a beautiful home to stay in whilst visiting Newcastle. 10mins walk into town and supervalu very close. Just across the road. Amenities in the house were great too - coffee machine, hot top, good grill & oven. And Pauline provided a handwritten note, milk, tea bags and more for our stay. 100% would recommend to stay here.

This was the perfect place for a relaxing weekend away with friends and to make great memories.

Everything was perfect, there isn’t anything we could complain about. The private hot tub was fabulous and the house is only a short walk from the town which is very ideal. The bedrooms made everyone just feel at home, the beds were so comfortable. The house was equipped with all the essentials. Would highly recommend this stay to anyone.

There is nothing that we all didn’t enjoy, it was perfect.

The Orchard is an amazing holiday let , you won’t be disappointed.

The orchard was extremely clean , well designed , very comfortable with excellent facilities. We were a multigenerational family , the downstairs bedroom / en-suite suited us perfectly. Pauline was a fabulous host, leaving delicious treats & meeting us on arrival. Any questions/ queries were responded very quickly.

A wonderful home, simply perfect !

The property is faultless, It has been recently renovated to an exceptional standard and there was not one single aspect we would change. We we're welcomed on time by the owner and given a brief tour. The property is in a quiet location and the rear garden has great privacy. We we're a family of 5 with 3 young kids and we loved the entire experience. Thanks very much Pauline & Grahame for a fantastic weekend, we will be sure to return.

Luxurious and very relaxing

This property is just superb. Pauline was an excellent host and very acommodating. I was part of a group of ladies staying for a relaxing weekend together. Pauline met us to hand over the keys (after organising a few extras on request for our arrival) and gave us a tour of the property and some interesting information about the history of the house. We were very impressed with every last detail in the house, sone lovely little touches. The house has a huge kitchen/living area which was lovely to relax and socialise in, spacious bedrooms with lots of wardrobe space and not to mention the outdoor patio with hot tub. Everything you could need is in this house and the furnishings and products used in the house are of the best quality. The house itself is in a quiet residential area, with a large service station and shop about 1-2 minute walk away. A 10 minute walk takes you in to Newcastle town centre so very accessible yet away from the hustle and bustle. Great house to explore the area from and we managed a hike in the Mournes and cold water dip in the sea during our stay. Everything was top notch and myself and my friends had such a relaxing weekend. Would highly recommend 👌

Would highly recommend the orchard! We had a brilliant weekend which was perfect to get a little break before Christmas. The attention to detail was brilliant and the hot tub was a lovely added extra. The house is beautiful and so cosy.
