Host lied about issuing a refund, ignored all communication, and kept my £90 — avoid this scam listing.
Nothing. We were refused check-in despite paying in full, and the host failed to honour the booking.
This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with a booking. I paid £90 for one night (30/07/25) but on arrival the host refused entry, claiming the property was 25+ only — despite my partner being 27 . (Im 22 for context) When I contacted him, he promised over the phone to refund me and said he had confirmed this by email. That was a lie — I have recordings of these calls from his number (+44 7427 193096) proving he said this. In reality, he has ignored Booking.com messages, failed to answer calls, and has not refunded anything even two months later (today is 30/09/25). This host took advantage of a last-minute booking, pocketed the money, and then ghosted all follow-up. Extremely dishonest behaviour that feels like a scam.

Fun, spacious and comfortable.
We loved this house, warm and loads of room. Great location, host was very welcoming and informative. Everything we needed was on the Ormeau Road and we didn’t need to go into the city centre as there were great bars and restaurants recommended by the host. Fun stay.
Nothing at all really except the parking was an issue as we arrived before 5pm. We did get a spot right outside the house after 6 once the rush hour traffic was gone.

Spacious, full of character and central.
This is a lovely house with original features. It was right beside lots of bars and restaurants on the Ormeau Road we were able to get a bus outside to the SSE Arena for a gig. I will stay again.
It was too big for the two of us as it is massive. It would suit a large family or group of friends better. We had a great stay nonetheless.
