Few tiny things like the sofa being broke, springs sticking out of some mattresses but other than that was fine ,place was bit dusty & shower seemed like it hadnt been cleaned but was still sleepable & had great time

open plan space great for large groups. easy flat walk into village. comfy beds, plenty of towels and hot water, quiet location with easy parking. nice quiet garden space.

overall good but no wow factor. There were a few niggles that might be more relevant to a big family group using it as a home from home rather than bunch of friends just sleeping there…….bigger fridge freezer needed….extra crockery/cutlery/ serving dishes needed…..elements of kitchen and sofa a bit grubby, decor a bit tired, garden furniture not cleaned.

Location is A++++++ 5 minute walk to village where there is a lovely beach, playground and pubs and shops Galore. There is a gorgeous antique shop you could literally spend all day in and sweet Sundays is worth a visit! There is skypark which is at minute drive and also a lovely beach called Templeton beach about 15 minutes drive. The house itself is lovely. Big fluffy towels and all the kitchen utensils you need. Staff were also very accommodating providing us with 3 travel cots!

Terrible - would not recommend.

I would not recommend this place. The cleanliness was extremely poor. There was a very bad damp smell in the kitchen when we arrived. The floor was sticky as if it had just been cleaned with a dirty mop and there was no clean or appropriate sweeping brush or mop for us to use during our stay. The dishwasher was broken and was left filthy dirty inside with a build up of food debris and a pungent smell. The oven was also not working. The host knew of these issues but failed to inform us and continued to charge full price for the stay. They also demand a €400 cash deposit on arrival to stay in this terrible place. Major improvements are necessary and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Superb

The location was excellent, just a five minute walk to Carlingford town centre, Carlingford lough, the Fokelore park and a children's playground. It was less than a 20 minute drive to Newry. On the way to Newry there is a spectacular walk - the Greenway, stop at Victoria Lock and enjoy the views and walk. The house had everything we needed, and was very comfortable. We were a group of 5 adults and 7 children. There was 5 bedrooms with 4 single and 5 double beds. one bedroom ensuite plus a full bathroom and a separate toilet downstairs. The back garden is large and safe for small children with outdoor seating. The cooking facilities, TV, internet and comfortable space made our family break a lovely experience

The facilities were good with everything we needed. The location was convenient to walk into the village. The village is excellent.

The property needed a coat of paint and some new furniture and furnishings. Not sure what is happening in the development, but there are a lot of empty properties and the access to the shore is blocked.

Ample room in the property and the location was ideal for our purposes. Host and his assistant were very accommodating and provided help whenever required. Property was warm and generally comfortable.
