Wonderful hosts who looked after us very well indeed.

The breakfast was perfect and we had the best view in the house of the surrounding countryside.

The music in the breakfast room was probably not to our taste but that didn't take from our enjoyment of the location.

second time staying here and it was a delight. Host is extremely helpful and very pleasant. Rooms are a good size, nice layout and comfortable. Shower nice and hot. Breakfast included is quite good! Location is lovely.

There was no password for the Wifi but our host found it and gave it to us - but the connection was not working. No iron in the room but the host kindly lent us one. TV remote wasnt working but host got batteries for us! Any problem was sorted as best as possible practically immediately

Lovely b&b in a beautiful location

The room was very spacious and clean with comfortable and warm beds. Electric blankets were also available for exrta heat. There were facilities for tea/coffee in the room. The bathroom was very clean and the staff were extremely welcomng and friendly. The location was stunning, right in front of Carlingford Lough.

There was great fresh fruit and creeals for breakfast, and a beautiful view from the dining room. The cooked breakfast was okay, but could have been better.

Breakfast was excellent. Location was amazing - overlooking the Mourn Mountains and from the dining room on the 1st floor we had a view of Carlingford Lough.

We struck our gold finding this B&B

Everything was excellent, could not rate it high enough. I could write a book on this place diffently the best place i have ever stayed. Owners are so amazing and Jackie and her son cooks an amazing breakfast. Couldnt of been more helpful from start to finish. This is a magical wee place

Shower head needs either de-scaling or re-placing...water only trickled from it. Very limited choice for breakfast...full irish or full irish....no choice of bread, toast only!!! The proximity to the lough and view. We also enjoyed it was a short walk into the village. Also, the hospitality of the owners!

I wouldn’t say didn’t like as much as recommend to update the look of the rooms. The bathrooms were modernized which was a plus and the heating covers underneath the bed made for a relaxing day after long walks.

I liked that the rooms were away from the main house so it was very private. We were able to come and go as we please but assistance was on hand if we needed it. Lovely accommodation, surroundings and views. The host, Jackie was a really nice lady too. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back.

Location was perfect although the room didn't have the great view it claimed to have 😂 Enjoyed the stay, it was clean and comfortable. Room was more spacious than expected. Perfectly clean. Room had hair dryer, tea and coffee, towels.

Breakfast portions of the hot food were a bit small and a little slow to be brought out - BnB appeared to be at full capacity so I understand but maybe need more help in the kitchen! (This was only a small inconvenience and mostly noted because the property advertises a "fabulous breakfast") No milk supplied with the tea and coffee in the room. Small TV.

Carlingford delight

The room was super comfy and there was lots of space for our bags. The host was warm and welcoming. The breakfast was delicious. We loved the leprechaun park across the road, it was interesting and there was lots to learn. There were plenty of car parking spaces. It was a peaceful place to stay.

Disappointing. The 4.7 booking.com rating may have been deserved in the past but certainly not now.

The much hyped breakfast did not deserve its hype. Not a full Irish! Smallest sausages I have ever eaten in a B and B. Fruit salad ran out quickly and not replaced. It gave the impression that they have really lost interest except to make money. Sad.

Always a pleasure to stay at Shalom. Jackie is the perfect host, always willing to oblige with any needs we had. The breakfast is a perfect way to start the day. Rooms are spotless and comfortable beds. A 10 minute walk to the bars and restaurants.

Our stay was satisfactory but the property requires some up-dating and attention to detail.

We enjoyed the view to the front at breakfast time, and the view of the mountain from the garden. The gardens are lovely. The cooked breakfast was fine, although the bacon was a bit dry. The property is ideally placed for a walk into Carlingford. The owners were very welcoming.

The bathroom facilities are rather old and tired looking. Some of the towels were too small and threadbare. It would be nice to have a greater selection of items for a continental breakfast - croissants, cold meats, cheese etc There is a lack of storage space, only two hangers and one drawer had no knob with which to open it. There were no hooks in the bathroom on which to hang items.
