Fabulous location for a hen in Carlingford!

Absolutely ideal location, lovely staff, great rooms and lovely bathroom facilities.

The only minor negative is that there are no breakfast facilities but super easy to just grab something in the village. Wouldn’t put me off staying at all but just something to be aware of. There are kitchen facilities in the rooms if you can be bothered making your own food with a hangover!

Room is tired, whilst warm, the kitchen and bathroom was absolutely freezing no heating at all. Windows right by a streetlight, so would be better with blackout blinds

Great stay at Carlingford, will definitely come back again!

The location was brilliant. Initially thought there was no parking but as we slowly drove past the lodge, we saw a sign with Oystercatcher Car park and thankfully we were able to park there. Really central to all the pubs/restaurants. Nice big room for a family of three. The bed was like a super super king, it was huge and comfy. There was a single bed there too. Had a small kitchenette with a microwave and a countertop fridge, which I thought was great if my son was a baby again! He's nearly 6. Ironing board plus iron was good to have, even though we only stayed one night and didn't need it. Great black out curtains on top of the wooden venetian blinds; really kept the room dark.

No plug holes by the bed so had to charge the phone beside the window. TV is very small considering the size of the wall. No hooks on the walls for coats. Not enough hangers in the wardrobe. A small bathroom cabinet or chair would've been handy in the bathroom or even a tall corner unit with shelves. No facilities for breakfast but that was OK as there were Ruby Ellen's Tea Rooms for breakfast.

Very impressed and would stay again!

Stayed here for 3 nights while attending a family wedding in The Four Seasons which is a very short and safe walk away. It was perfect for my stay, central and free parking. The room I had was quite large and quieter than I imagined with the location so I slept really well in a massive comfortable bed! The little kitchen in my room was ideal with tea/coffee, a fridge, toaster and sink. I would definitely stay here again if I was in Carlingford again!

Bit of miscommunication surrounding check in. I had contacted them to arrange 2 possible people who would check in on my behalf before 6pm. Despite this I still received a text message on the day asking what time I would be checking in. Reiterated exactly who would check in for me at 5.30 but I later was informed by an entirely different guest that they had checked in and had my key! Got the feeling my key would have been given to anyone as long as the owners got out early. Saying that, the rest of my stay was very enjoyable

Very Basic Accomodation.

The Location is perfect for all the pubs & Restaurant venues in Carlingford. Fab Shower Big comfy bed. Room was spotlessly clean.

Room was not welcoming. Very sparcely furnished. Saturday night noise from street below which we expected but not sure if our room windows were double glazed. Noise was soooo loud. Felt the room lacked warmth. Laminate flooring throughout which was cold and noisy underfoot. Could not get heating thermostat to work in bedroom so we felt cold. Sadly we would not return to stay at the Oystercatcher.

The most amazing staff and location

Location. Amazingly friendly staff that went above and beyond. The nice man at reception knew we couldn't get a taxi to our friends wedding outside of town, so the amazing lady in housekeeping dropped us down! They also gave us many recommendations on where to eat.

This is my second stay and I like the location as its handy for everything.The was very comfy 😌

I think the cleanliness could be better.The bin in our bathroom was stain with something that I didn't really want to find out what lol.The seats in our room could do with an update.The stains on them make them look dirt.
