Poldice Valley Apartments

The location was a perfect, central location to explore various parts of Cornwall. The people living and working in Chacewater, including the owner of the apartment, were very friendly and helpful. Great local pub across the street. Lucy’s Lattes nearby is superb. The unit was very clean and thoroughly updated.

The bed is a little small. The mattress comfort was fine, just a bit too small.

What a lovely hidden gem! Our first time staying at this accomodation - and in Chacewater - as my partner and I were due to do a skydive at Pennaporth. This lovely little apartment had everything we needed and was fit for the purpose of our stay of 3 nights. It is as advertised; modern and clean, with all the amenities listed on the booking page (digital TV, WiFi, kitchenette with fridge, kettle, toaster, electric hob and cutlery, utensils and dishes, tea & coffee provided along with towels & toilet roll, hairdryer & iron & board (although not used). Good living area space to sit and eat at a table whilst cosy enough to laze out in front of the tv. We were in a 1 bed apartment for 2; (there were steps so if you struggle check) our bedroom was on the smaller side with an en-suite shower room (toiletries provided and it was IMMACULATE). We completely understand this was why there was a smaller bed, we did struggle with the softer mattress a bit (as I am a bit of a wriggler!) But its personal preference and the sofa was VERY comfy for the 3rd night. The fan in the apartment was MOST appreciated, despite the weather cooling down I run hot so it was ideal when keeping windows shut to keep out morning traffic, it is a busy road. Overall though, as for the temperature and sound, no issues. Owner Conrad was lovely; very understanding of our delayed arrival and was able to meet us with keys when we needed; friendly, attentive and loved the recommendation for local seal watching! In terms of location, car parking is a very short walk across from the accommodation, we were able to park outside to unload and then drive across to the space. The car park is free. Worth noting it is dark at night so arrive when its light if this is an issue / concern for you. The apartment itself was above a little shop perfect to pick up any essentials.

The only thing we'd change is a slightly bigger bed. Otherwise - nothing! And yes we absolutely would come back again. Thank you Conrad!
