The grounds were beautiful and the room was perfect.

The room was very convenient for a single persons. The facilities were very good and I was impressed that there was milk and water in the fridge and tea bags/coffee available. I was able to come and go as I pleased and the path to the chalet was well lit at night

the entrance to and from the chalet was quite blind on to the main road a mirror opposite would have been useful .

David and Janet were lovely hosts and made me feel very welcome. The Garden Room The accommodation was a good size, very nicely decorated with everything you needed. There is a kitchenette in the room with a microwave, a two ring stove, kettle, toaster, iron, hairdryer, table and chairs, both in the room and outside in the garden too. The garden is beautiful with a few cheeky squirrels running around it and views onto the pretty church. There is a shower room which has a very good shower, and towels are provided. The Garden Room is very quiet and secluded and there is ample parking on the main drive. Location St Day in a quiet village. There is a convenience store a few minutes walk from the accommodation and a pub serving food about a 10 minute walk. The location is ideal for seeing different areas of Cornwall. It is very centrally located, close to the A30 to reach places like Truro and Bodmin in the north and popular towns like St Ives and Penzance in the south. It is only 18 minutes drive away from the Atlantic coast for some nice hiking on the coastal paths from Portreath up to St Agnes and beyond or down to Hayle, or just for some surfing or beaches. You are also only 20 minutes drive from places like Falmouth on the southern coastline and the King Harry Ferry which takes you over to the Roseland Peninsula and on to the popular town of St Mawes. St Erth park & ride/train station also only 20 minutes away by car down the A30, which is good if you'd prefer not to drive into busy towns like St Ives/Penzance in the summer months. Redruth also has a train station and there are buses from the village to Redruth.

There was not anything I did not like.

Friendly host in a very (for me) convenient location. Ample parking. Small single room accommodation with a generous bed and compact kitchen area. En-suite bathroom facilities with an excellent shower. Milk tea & coffee provided. All sockets with USB connections. Lovely garden and tranquil setting.

Slightest criticism would be that a couple of the lights could be brighter - low powered LED lights are great, but those of us with aging eyesight sometimes need a touch brighter!
