It was a mother daughter trip which we enjoyed and will have wonderful memories to reflect on.

I liked the fact that it was a small villa, newly renovated, very quiet, with amazing views. The host Luisa was very sweet, and helpful. The ladies who brought breakfast and cleaned were happy & joy to watch. The proximity to Ravello shops, restaurants and the gardens was great. The building used to be an old church which was newly renovated I enjoyed ringing the bell on the top. Liked having a storage for our luggage & additional pillows & comforter in the outside storage area. It was great to have the wall safe to store passports & valuables. Liked the three terraces to walk around and enjoy the view. We liked the clean ceramic floors & bathroom set up. We liked the car service that Luisa arranged for our trip back to Naples.

Please communicate once a guest makes a reservation with respect to car service that you recommend, associated fees & location of drop off in case one uses an airport car service. It would have been great to have goose feather pillows. May be extending the rack to the corner toward the wall to have more room for hanging cloths.

Exceptional and magical property and experience.

I have never been to a more beautiful hotel. We had the Deodalo room, which is the rooftop terrace room with access to the bell tower. The views are stunning and the owner did an amazing job converting a 13th century church into a hotel while still preserving some of the original architecture and charm. We loved ringing the bells at noon and 6pm and hearing other distant bells ring across Ravello. We loved the staff and are very grateful to them for making our experience magical. Special shout out to Luisa for being so helpful and meeting us outside of Ravello to bring us to the hotel as well as to the very kind ladies who always brought us delicious breakfast to our terrace. Also, special thank you to the kind gentleman who carried our bags to our room up the bell tower. Everything was top notch and even the view from the shower was breathtaking. Some much fun to shower listening to Italian music, looking out to the sea, and listening to the birds chirping and watching the butterflies fly around. I have never stayed in a nicer place in my life.

The gardens are very peaceful but could use some tidying up.

Excellent villa in Ravello with a view to die for

I stayed 2 nights in the upper room. While the room was small (enough for a person, maybe two but without much luggage, no closet for clothes), the view from the three terraces/balconies was a dream - the old stone church, the majestic trees, the terraces with lemon trees, the sparkling blue sea and the coast. Words cannot describe the beauty of this place. They can bring you breakfast on the terrace, food was good (adding some veggies would be nice). The room was very elegant and super clean. Luisa from the front desk waited for me at the bus/taxi stop and somebody else carried my luggage. Ravello was the only place not crowded from the Amalfi coast and this added to the charm of the village. I would definitely stay at villa Barluzzi again!!

The size of the upper room was small and no closet for clothes, just some hangers.

An unforgettable experience!

Everything! An amazing restoration of an old church, flamboyantly decorated with works of art including hand painted floor tiles and antique furniture. We stayed in the Icaro room, which is massive and has vaulted ceilings, as it used to be the chapel itself. There was a little private garden, a French balcony with expansive views of Amalfi coast and a bathroom with its own cupola! This room really needs to be seen to be believed. Breakfast was great. The staff were wonderful. The place is fit for royalty but the price is accessible to mere mortals. A once in a lifetime treat.

Honeymoon Bliss

Luisa was the best host we could have asked for, she was so helpful with any questions we had. The room we had was small, but that didn't matter as the terraces (3 of them!) were massive and just so perfect and the view overlooking the terraces was out of this world. We stayed for part of our honeymoon and it was the perfect couple getaway and they made us feel so special.

The best place to be

Villa barluzzi is the best place we've ever seen in ours vacation. Start with dear Luisa ❤️ that help us and made the all stay beyond our imagination. The beautiful room, garden and the incredible view are better than any pictures. Ravello is the most beautiful place - quite, nice place to visit and see. Great bistro: babel wine bar with Nicola. It's definitely the best place to be in the Amalfi coast. Thank you again Luisa and hope to see you again sometime. Anyone who read this review: don't hesitate: go to villa barluzzi

A beautiful property that allows you to absorb the wonderful atmosphere of Ravello

The history and beautiful architectural restoration of the property. Everything has been extremely well thought out and done and the room sizes are gigantic and very comfortable. The furniture is all beautiful antique reproductions. Although there is very minimal staff, they are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was extremely substantial and served on our private balcony, allowing us to take in the beautiful view of the Amalfi Coast.

Although the bed is a beautiful antique reproduction, the mattress used does not make for a very comfortable sleep. This is of course my opinion only and may not be the case for many other guests.

Wonderful - better than I’d hoped.

The staff were really warm and welcoming - as well as extremely helpful. The view is one of the hero views in Ravello - which is already famous for its views. The villa is stunning - we had the huge Icarus room. We were unable to get into our preferred hotel so I chose this, hoping it would be as good, and it was indeed exceptional. My trouble is I don’t want to leave a great review because then I will have trouble booking in future! but I can’t lie - it’s a beautiful place to stay.

This isn’t great if you hate steps - but to stay in Ravello is to embrace steps!

Dreaming of Ravello

The old church turned villa is a sight to behold. We had the best views in town while sipping on coffee on our very own terrace garden with tall trees. Everything from the vaulted ceiling to the painted floor tiles to the wood-carved bed in our room were dreamy and beautiful. Private breakfast overlooking the Amalfi coast and wine in the hot tub for sunset were unforgettable highlights. Luisa was a very gracious and helpful host and the staff were generally kind and most helpful. We also booked a daily car service from them and had a whole day exploring the busy coast towns at our own leisure with a polite and knowledgable driver. A true romantic getaway in Ravello, the most picturesque town the Amalfi coast has to offer.

A treasure of love

Villa Barluzzi is a treasure of love, and to be loved. With five palatial rooms restored from a 12 century chiesa, the villa has all the modern luxuries to make it once in a lifetime experience. Say goodbye to Salvatore, who is not with the villa anymore, and say hello to the beautiful and super capable and kind Luisa. She sent us messages in advance to arrange for arrival and guided us with expertly local advice. It must be an act of love that the gentleman who showed up to carry our luggage was no other than the owner Carmine Bisogno himself. We almost embarrassed ourselves with the five euros to be given to our “Porter”! It is their care and love that make this villa a most special place.

Most Amazing Property I’ve Ever Stayed In

The property is absolutely stunning and the location is in close proximity to the city center. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and, before the first night was even over, we were talking about coming back. The concierge was also an incredible help throughout our stay in addition to being one of the most welcoming we’d encountered throughout our honeymoon. We can’t stay enough wonderful things about the property and it’s concierge! If you are wondering whether to stay here, the answer is definitely yes!

There is no elevator and there are some stairs to get to the city center; however the concierge provided exceptional service and helped us with our luggage! He also helped us to organize a cab for the morning of our departure.

Tout absolument tout !! Elvira la maîtresse de maison car je parle bien d une maison d hôtes tant Elvira a pris soin de notre séjour en amont avec ses conseils d organisation que sur place avec la formidable Luisa qui a pris soin de nous à chaque instant de notre séjour en organisant réservant tous nos lieux souhaités. Les 2 personnes du petit déjeuner étaient également d une joyeuse humeur communicative. Bref nous avons passé un merveilleux séjour à la villa. Notre chambre Kronos était fantastique avec une vue incroyable sur la mer.

Nous avons tout aimé!! La villa. Le personnel. La chambre. La vue. La terrasse. Le petit déjeuner et toute la gentillesse et bienveillance qui nous ont entouré pendant notre séjour.

Des lieux hors du commun: de l'ancienne chapelle il persiste paix et sérénité, du nouveau lieu réhabilité récemment la beauté, les couleurs, le raffinement. La créativité des chambres. Une vue sur la baie exceptionnelle. Quant à nos hôtes nous avons appréciés l'accueil , la gentillesse et le professionnalisme de Luisa et Elvira Les sourires de Sylvia et Tatiana pour des petits déjeuners variés et abondants La force d'Antonio pour porter les valises. Villa Barluzzi – rafinament, liniște și oameni care îți rămân în suflet

Șederea noastră la Villa Barluzzi a fost, fără exagerare, o experiență de neuitat. Împreună cu soțul meu, am descoperit aici un colț de rai – o combinație rară între eleganță, peisaje uluitoare și ospitalitate sinceră. Camera noastră a fost absolut regală – spațioasă, rafinată, decorată cu gust clasic și cu o vedere fabuloasă spre mare, catre Minori si Maiori. Am simțit din prima clipă că suntem într-un loc special. Diminețile au fost magice: micul dejun pe terasă, înconjurați de flori și liniște, cu aromele florale plutind în aer și priveliștea Coastei Amalfi desfășurându-se în fața noastră ca un tablou. Un mare plus al șederii noastre a fost Luisa de la recepție, care ne-a întâmpinat cu multă căldură și ne-a ajutat să organizăm o zi de vis pe mare. Datorită ei, am avut ocazia să ne bucurăm de o plimbare cu barca, iar Aniello, conducatorul barcii si ghidul nostru local, a fost absolut încântător. Ne-a povestit cu pasiune despre istoria și legendele Coastei Amalfi – o zonă de care era profund mândru, și pe bună dreptate. Grădina de pe terasă este un colț de paradis – perfectă pentru momente de liniște în doi, pentru lectură sau pur și simplu pentru a privi apusul. Villa Barluzzi este mai mult decât un loc de cazare: este o experiență completă – cu emoție, frumusețe și oameni care fac totul cu suflet. Plecăm cu inima plină și cu dorința clară de a reveni cât mai curând.

Magnifique et inoubliable.

Louisa nous a acceuilli très chaleureusement et a fait en sorte que notre séjour se passe le mieux possible. La villa est magnifique et notre chambre était grande avec du mobilier ancien et le tout de très bon goût. La douche était très grande et nous avions aussi un bain à remous , un plaisir après des journées fatigantes . Le petit déjeuner servi sur la terrasse au soleil était délicieux. Mais le must reste quand même la vue de notre terrasse .. une pure merveille.

Rien .. si ce n est que quelques chocolats ou biscuits auraient été appréciés pour accompagner le café .

Antiga Igreja reformada e recém inaugurada. Amplo quarto, bem equipado e decorado, grande terraço com espreguiçadeiras e mesa para tomar café da manhã (ou drink final de tarde) com uma vista de tirar o fôlego (quarto Afrodite). Excelente para casais em lua de mel ou não. Para coroar tivemos toda a atenção e assessoria de Salvatore, com certeza o melhor Hostess de toda Costa Amalfitana.

Para quem tiver dificuldade de locomoção pode se incomodar com acesso a Ravello com degraus e rampas (nada muito forte - apenas 300m da praça principal)
