Mimi was really nice for a quick stay in ravello. The room was clean and we got discount on dinner at the restaurant which does incredible pizza! The breakfast was also nice with a decent selection. The staff were friendly too. It’s slightly out of the centre so doesn’t feel as touristy

Our room was right above the kitchen, which as you can imagine can be extremely loud at points. However, we understand that we chose to stay at a bnb that is also a restaurant. The shower wasn’t great as it wouldn’t keep a consistent temperature at all and the WiFi wouldn’t work in room nor was there much service so just keep that in mind if you don’t have much data

I loved that it’s a small family business. It made me feel at home in Ravello! The staff were exceptional and were very nice and accommodating for my celiac. I informed them about my celiac disease and they brought me gluten free bread, cereal, and other goodies to enjoy for breakfast. The rooms were clean, there was air conditioning, and the view from the balcony wad breathtaking. The location is lovely as well.

The stairs to reach the property were a bit challenging especially after flying for many hours to reach Ravello. We had to carry our bags from the center of Ravello to the property. However, we later knew that there is a service you can pay for to drop off your bags but carrying the bags is all part of the experience too!

An electric jug in the room for hot drinks would have been appreciated

Exactly like staying with your favorite aunt in Ravello over a 5-star luxury hotel overlooking the sea. I wanted a simpler stay in Ravello because I planned to walk around and take day hikes, not lie by the pool in spring in a cliffside 5-star hotel terrace overlooking the sea. Mimi exceeded expectations in every way for this context. First, it's a 5-minute walk up non-steep stairs from Ravello's main square. Every property, even the 5-star hotels, involves taking suitcases up or down stairs, so Mimi's location is already miraculous, lets you manage even with a large suitcase, and is not like other cheaper stays that don't tell you there are 300 steps involved. Second, Mimi has a simple terrace facing the underrated hills back (not sea) side of Ravello. Relaxing place to linger at the start or end of the day, and dramatic on a cloudy day when clouds hug the top of the mountains. Third, Mimi is the best casual dining in Ravello (Cumpo Cosimo is a scam where they don't follow their own menu!) and you get a 10% discount and a 5-meter walk home. Fourth, Mimi serves a simple but wonderful breakfast and you can size up as you like. Most days, I'd get a generous pot of yoghurt with fresh fruit, a cornetto, a large plate of bread, ham and cheese, and two cappucinos, and they're happy to serve more. When I went on the Path of the Gods, they made two lovely ham and cheese on toast sandwiches that made for an amazing picnic at the viewpoint in the middle of the famous walk. Fifth, they can match a hotel concierge if you asked nicely. Ravello can be a more difficult logistics base than Amalfi, so I asked if they could just arrange a taxi to go to Bomerano and the start of the Path of the Gods, as an expensive alternative to a 2-hour bus ride. For EUR100, on a Sunday morning, they got an immaculately dressed local driver named Pierpaolo with a beautiful Mercedes Benz van. Tourists pay EUR75 for a taxi from Ravello to Amalfi at 2 PM peak hours!

The biggest problem is the wifi doesn't work and the signal was too weak, but that may be an issue with Ravello generally. If you're a tourist who paid for a real local SIM instead of an overpriced global eSIM, you'll have more than enough data to use a hotspot if you need your laptop (short of work video calls or intensive gaming). The room was right beside the restaurant back door, which is amazing after dinner and wine but noisy at 10 PM when the restaurant closes and the staff change in the locker room right outside the door. To a lesser extent, it's also noisy throughout the day as shifts come in. I learned to just brush it off given the restaurant is lovely. Room can be slightly cold (stayed in spring) compared to a real hotel room. Finally, while the breakfast is lovely, their scrambled eggs add on is a little salty. Note Italians are not really scrambled eggs people so stick to the local breakfast!
