This property needs a deep cleaning; we spent hours scrubbing out the moldy dishwasher and the BBQ was unusable until we scrubbed that clean. The refrigerator (with a broken door) was filled with long ago expired condiments. The couch needs to be replaced because it's too worn out. Sitting for more than 30 minutes gave us back aches. The condition of the beds was worse - they are long overdue for replacement - terrible!

We go to Sea Ranch at least once a year, and this was, by far, my favorite property yet. The location was gorgeous, almost unreal, with perfect ocean views and tons of wildlife. It was very well stocked and even had extra supply of everything we needed. Ulla was a wonderful host and very communicative. We will absolutely be booking this again, hopefully every year!

Beautiful well-maintained property just steps from the bluff trail at one of Sea Ranch's best viewpoints, Galleon's Reach. A great place for wildlife viewing from the main living area virtually every day: deer, foxes, quail, rabbits, and large groups of pelicans cruising the bluffs. Exciting! Very clean throughout. The windows were clean and had screens and sun shades unlike some other Sea Ranch properties. Kitchen well appointed (loved the coffee maker). Good quality towels and linens. We definitely recommend this property; you won't be disappointed.

Our family of 5 had a peaceful and enjoyable time in this house. We cooked meals, played games, watched tv and went for hikes. Even though it rained quite a bit, we were able to enjoy the ocean scenery from the house. We also saw fox, bunny and deer. Everyone enjoyed the stay and wished we had stayed longer than three nights.

We had a fantastic time staying in this home! The location is perfect… ocean front views but also felt private and less ‘fish bowl’ than some of the other homes on the sea bluff trail. The home is very well stocked with towels and cooking supplies. Highly recommend!

This was our first time staying in Sea Ranch and this property exceeded our expectations. Breathtaking ocean views from the living, dining and master bedroom with a deck too to sit outside and watch the world go by. Perfect location along a breathtaking ocean cliff trail and less than a 20 minute walk to the café/restaurant/bar. This house offers both an ocean view and privacy! Home was very clean and had everything you could ask for to cook (spices, great knives, condiments). We stopped on the way at Tamales Bay Oyster Company and picked up oysters and clams for dinner. We always travel with an oyster shucker but they have that too in the kitchen.So nice to have a dog friendly place. Ulla was also very responsive. Hope to return soon!

Our family enjoyed a lovely week over Thanksgiving at Ocean Pillars. The property was clean and comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and beautiful views of the ocean. Communication with the owners was excellent. We loved being so close to the Bluff Trail, and walked for miles by the sea every day. We highly recommend this property, and hope to return ourselves in the future!

We enjoyed or family stay at this beautiful home. The view is stunning! The Humpback whales were really putting on a show! The kitchen was great for our family which included 6 adults & 3 children: 4 years, 14 month & 8 weeks. It was also helpful having 3 1/2 baths. We have been coming to SR since the 1960’s, when my husband’s family built a small home here. Now that we have grown, it is nice to enjoy larger houses! Beautiful house in gorgeous Sea Ranch. We had a lovely family get together. Great views and walks along the bluff. The house is very well appointed with all you need. There was a problem with the hot tub, but we got help from Ulla’s son in law which saved the day!

The new owners have made some nice upgrades. (We have stayed here previously. ) The view of Arch Rock is fabulous. The owner took care of a hic cup really fast. We left a pill bag and we were notified right away. Owner will have it mailed to us. Just a great experience over all and we got to beat the Valley heat for a few days.

We arrived just in time to view a beautiful deep pink sunset over the water right from the house, that set the tone for our restful vacation. We enjoyed the spaciousness of the house, it was very comfortable and when we entered everyone sighed with relief. Our favorite part besides the view was the close access to the bluff trail.

We loved everything about this property. We were able to bring our dog, after getting permission from the owner. Having dog friendly options is a priority for us. The house is in a great location with ocean views and very easy access to the trails that run along the incredible coast line. The house is comfortable with plenty of space to relax and enjoy the Sea Ranch vibe. We look forward to returning soon.

We picked a weekend with horrible weather and the power ended up going out our first morning. Nothing the owners could do and they were super communicative the whole time with any sort of updates from PGE. The house was beautiful and in such a special location where we were able to take advantage during the days with the sun out. We definitely will be going back hopefully in some warmer/sunnier weather to enjoy the beautiful coast!

The view from the living room window of the ocean was postcard perfect and was shared with extended family across the country that were not with us. We have rented homes in Sea Ranch for over 25 years and this was by far the best. We look forward to staying here many times to come.

A wonderful experience overall. Sea ranch is a special place, a world away from everyday life, and Scott and Ulla’s home was the perfect base for our visit. The house is nicely decorated in keeping with the whole sea ranch aesthetic. The kitchen is great and we cooked quite a bit while there. The bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious. Location is ideal - bluff trail just outside the door. Hosts are responsive and check in is simple. Thanks Ulla and Scott for sharing your home with us!
