The location and views are perfection! The house is well stocked. It is on multiple levels, and the stairs are a bit tight and slick. They were in the process of changing out one of the beds from a queen to a king which was a little inconvenient but will be an improvement. Overall, we had a grand time!

We had a wonderful stay and loved the home from the moment we arrived and saw the incredible views. The host was very friendly and communication was easy. The house was very spacious and comfortable for our group of 7 adults and a dog. We enjoyed the osprey and other birds flying by with fish in their talons, seals on the great rock formation below, a leaping fox on the driveway, hot tub, and friendly neighbors. Kitchen was well-equipped and good for cooking, and everything was nice and clean. Location can't be beat - over the water and quiet, while also very close to town and activities. Hope to return again!

Beautiful home with fantastic ocean views. Enjoyed watching the sea birds flying by right at the level of the windows amd the sunsets over the Pacific. Fully stocked kitchen, nice seating area and large bedrooms. Close to town while still feeling private.

We found this house to be almost perfect for us (6 female friends). The view is spectacular! The whole house including the kitchen is well appointed. It has extras of everything so it didn't feel like "just" a rental. Clearly it is enjoyed by the homeowners as well. I've stayed in many houses where they provide the bare essentials (sleeps 6 - you get 6 plates and 6 cups). Not this house! Plenty of everything. All of the beds were comfortable. The location is on a quiet street within a block or two of a cute little Mexican restaurant. Very close to town, so getting around was easy. The host is very responsive and handled all of our questions within a reasonable timeframe. The only "caution" I have is to be aware of the very sharp angle where the driveway levels out. It will get the bottom of your car if you don't approach the bottom slowly. Highly recommend!

We spent Easter weekend at this property. Check in was flawless, communication to great, and Tanya is very responsive if you have a question, even months before arriving. We have stayed at many VRBOs and this one by far was very well stocked with seasoning, cooking utensils and even cleaning products to clean up after yourselves. Extra Clorox wipes, trashes bags and even washer and dryer were available. The beds were comfortable and temperature was perfect in the house. They provided plenty of wood for the fireplace too. The location was great, next to the grocery store, trinket store and not too far from point arena. Being pet friendly was even better. Our dog love the place as well and there was enough room to him to roam and hang out on the deck without worry of him running off. Over all we thoroughly enjoyed the home, it felt as if it really was a home and not just a vacation rental. We would love to arrive again sometime in the future.

We stayed with a group of 7 adults, 3 couples and 1 singleton. The common areas were wonderful and that view, amazing!!!! The property manager was terrific in helping us out with minor issues and we will definitely consider renting again if staying in Gualala.

Our family stayed at Windswept during Christmas week, and it was absolutely perfect for our gathering. There was plenty of space for everyone to spread out and enjoy their own privacy, yet the common areas were cozy enough for us to come together. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals, and the view from the home was breathtaking. I could easily spend hours sitting on the window seat, enjoying the view. Our host Tanya was super helpful too. I was having issues with the VRBO app showing my reservation but she was very communicative and reassured me she saw it on her end. We will love to return!

My sister and brother in law came to visit from Illinois and we spent four fabulous days at the house. The views are absolutely stunning. We were planning to eat out but the kitchen was so well equipped and easy to use (with great views) that we made most of our meals in house. I highly recommend shopping at Surf Market. There are a few maintenance things that the owner is aware of and is addressing - but nothing that would cause us not to return. Fell asleep each night to the sound of crashing waves - life doesn’t get much better. Communication with the owner was excellent. I highly recommend staying g here.

Our first impression after driving down the steep driveway and entering this lovely home was an incredibly Spacious home and what Spectacular Views! It felt like we were right on a cliff overlooking an endless ocean! While it was clear there were several areas of deferred maintenance, we were able to communicate with the manager, Tanya, on several occasions. She was always very helpful and responsive. That being said, the house was very clean and a value for the size of the home itself. Our family had a delightful visit and truly enjoyed ourselves at this unique property.

The view has to be seen to be believed. The house accommodated five adults and three children comfortably. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds. Big screen TVs in almost every room. A big room where we could all gather, but lots of places to find privacy. The hot tub is a bonus! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We booked this trip for a much needed family vacation and it was a wonderful home, with beautiful views. However, the house was in need of some TLC, as several windows and/or screens and doors were broken. In addition to window shades not working, and the hot tub was pretty dirty when we got there. Lastly the host was not responsive to my questions posted via the VRBO app about a week prior to our check in. Therefore, we had purchased unnecessary items ahead of time to be prepared, and only to find out that they were not needed to begin with, which was unfortunate (i.e. charcoal for grilling when the grill was in fact propane, which was never clarified upon my inquiry, and CO monitors as well which VRBO had suggested bringing separately as it was unclear if the house had them or not and we didn’t want to risk it). Other than that, it was a beautiful location and wonderful view of the ocean. Overall, I would recommend it.

What a spot. So very comfortable and relaxing. Total of 8 guests. House was situated right on the waterfront, elevated on the cliffs edge with spectacular sun sets. House had everything we wanted and more. Only suggestions are that the broken blinds get fixed asap and more towels are provided. Thank you for the memories...we'll be back.

We had 10 people in our group, 6 adults, 2 teenagers, a 1 and 3 year old. We ALL had a wonderful time at Windswept! Plenty of space for quiet time and gathering for movies or meals. Views from each room was a treat. Hot tub was a big hit too! Close to our favorite beaches North & South of town. Gualala is a family favorite so we were thrilled to find this retreat. Beats camping! 💓 The only negative was the ants. They had spray for them but those stinkers are resilient! Traps were working great but the Spice cupboard was an issue. Nothing got in our food but we kept everything tidy. The master bathroom was the bigger issue until we found where they were coming from. Not much anyone can do! Still beats camping...😂

Lovely property, beautiful weather. amazing weekend. Property definitely lives up to its name, windswept. We had a very nice time. Plenty of room and has literally everything you could need. My only complaint would be the windows facing the ocean could use a good wash to enhance the already gorgeous view. Quite a bit of bird poop on the outside. But I know it’s the coast and it comes with. But overall 5 stars. Would return and recommend.

Hands down the highlight of this home is the unobstructed ocean views from the living room and bedrooms. We very much enjoyed our stay while in town for a wedding. The kitchen was well-equipped for cooking and there were many rooms to hang out in. The jacuzzi was relaxing at the end of the day. I would caution folks with sedan cars that the driveway is extremely steep so take it slow to avoid scraping.

I don't think there is a better ocean view anywhere. Views from every room. House could use some upgrades but still very comfortable. Host was great to work with and responded immediately when contacted. Note that ants are a problem but we were aware of that going in. With spray and ant bait we were able to keep them somewhat under control.

We had an amazing week! The view from each room was beautiful. There was plenty of room for everyone to relax by the fireplace and sit on the bench seats in front of the huge living room windows to sit back and watch the ocean waves. Our twin teens loved the fame room too. We will definitely be back again.

this is a truly a breathtaking property! It is on the coast, overlooking the shore and the rocks where you can see seals, birds, and whales! We were 6 adults and 1 kid and found it to be a great escape over Thanksgiving. We cooked a full Thanksgiving meal in the kitchen which was large and well appointed. The views were the star of this house, though our 8 year old loved playing on the arcade!
