We have been staying in Sea Ranch houses for over 35 years and this was the worst maintained house!

The amount of towels that were available.

Maintenance! Most of the windows and screens broken, torn! We spent a lot of time killing flys (after we purchased a fly swatter) Toilet water was turned off and not working properly, we fixed it as best that we could, repairman that came out wasn’t able to do anything else to make it flush any better. (this was the main toilet) The TV remote is missing the back didn’t work properly and we added new batteries, instructions on how to navigate TV/DVD player would be helpful. Hot tub water smelled terrible and should be changed. There was more, but just nitpicking stuff!

Disappointing stay at this neglected property that needs repairs and updates

We love being at Sea Ranch and the opportunity to tide pool, swim, hike, and play at the beach. It's a beautiful place.

Here's what was broken/in disrepair on arrival: - The keyless entry wasn't working on arrival. It took us *over an hour* to get access because you don't get a live person when you call Vacasa and navigate their silly phone system to reach a real person. We then got access for the lock box with a key just feet away. Not a great start after hours of driving. - Several lights were burned out in the master bath and elsewhere in the house - The screen door in the master doesn't latch and is torn up where an animal broke through and is "repaired" (I kid you not) by scotch tape, if you're wondering what level of neglect this house has received. Also of note: this is the only source of air flow in the room. Possible wildlife visitors vs. fresh air: you decide. - Master bath shower door frame is black with mildew/mold - Blind in dining area is fully broken, blocking what view you have from the table (though I found a way to jerry rig it up) - Broken window also in disrepair - Dishwasher lacks a few wheels making it very challenging to use - Dishes and kitchen utensils are of varying quantity/lesser quality and all nonstick pans are scratched - Also noted at least one gnawed and peeling doorway from previous guests with a badly trained dog. - The 1 fan available for the hot weather? Broken. We've asked for our rental to be half refunded (no reply as of 7/9/24), as this felt like a breach of contract. We'd never have stayed here if we'd known. When we pay a premium for accommodation, it is reasonable and expected that the house be in good working order. This was clearly not. It's obvious this has been long neglected and there are far better properties at Sea Ranch, esp. at this ridiculous price point. Vacasa was also its own badly managed horror show.

Loved the stay, sans some quirks but a beautiful property nonetheless!

Beautiful home with multiple trail access to the beach. Comfortable beds and nice views. Well stocked with a home away from home vibe.

The carpet wasn’t clean, patio furniture was dirty and one of the chairs needs a replacement. Even though there’s a cleaning fee associated with every rental by Vacasa, the cleanliness was not up to the mark.

Peaceful location flooded with natural light.

This home is flooded with natural light and very peaceful. The neighborhood is incredibly quiet and the scenery is beautiful. Kitchen was stocked with most of what we needed and we enjoyed the hot tub and gas fireplace.

The sliding door out to the patio with the hot tub wasn’t locked when we arrived and we quickly realized it was broken. A staff member came by to take a look and suggested we use the additional safety lock that was on the bottom of the door, which we hadn’t seen. But it was so difficult to open once it was locked, that he had to basically un-jam it with a butter knife to open it so that’s what we had to do each time we wanted to go out and use the hot tub. It was a struggle each time and that was unfortunate. we also wished there was some foule or Saran Wrap in the kitchen.

Wonderful location and beautiful view. Spacious living area, large dining table plus kitchen stocked with most everything.

Our stay in the house is so relaxing. All that we have expected was there, great experience.

Open floor plan, quiet and safe. Nice ambience & few minutes walk to the beach.

It would be nice if they have pillow cushion (in the living room) cover so it can be washed & smell better. Also, they should use fabric softener/ freshener so the linens will smell better in the bedrooms. Patio is small & no light.
