Charming Cabin Stay Over Labor Day Weekend

We spent Labor Day weekend here with two friends and had such a great experience. I’ll admit, I was initially hesitant when I saw that the property was “clothing optional” — I wasn’t sure what to expect. But when we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. The clothing-optional pool is well-maintained and surrounded by a fence, so it felt private and comfortable. Honestly, it was easy to enjoy the setting without feeling awkward or out of place. The property itself is beautiful — flowers everywhere, which gave it a really welcoming and peaceful feel. We even saw an employee out pruning the gardens, which added to the charm and care that’s clearly put into the place. The cabins are cute, quaint, and nicely spaced out around the property, which made it feel roomy and relaxed even though it was a holiday weekend and fully booked. The owner was warm and welcoming at check-in, and the overall vibe of the property was calm, pleasant, and far better than I expected. My two friends especially loved the pool area and the relaxing atmosphere, and I left feeling the same way. Overall, it was a charming experience, and I would absolutely stay here again.

The property needs a refresh as is a little tired but this brings with it some charm, so I didn’t mind this. The room rate was high. The water for the shower took a long time to warm up.

The charm is what to be expected in Guerneville, with the disorganization and some dilapidation, but could use some improvements (organize the outdoor area and make basic fixes).

We are definitely coming back! I love this place and we’re so grateful for the attention we received!

The place is amazing and quiet. Super clean and dog friendly. Danny went out of her way to make us feel like family and she was excellent! She made us feel very welcome and went above and beyond to make us fell me like home away from home while on vacation. Thank you Danny for everything! She was excellent in every thing we needed and she helped us recover a bag that we left behind. She is the best!

The service was amazing. Michael is the manager and he is a sweetheart. Kim and Danny are great and so amazing and attentive to details. They are the best!

BEAUTIFUL roses. Tons of em. Quaint backdrops for photos. Superb location for walking around town. Did a super budget-friendly option and was not disappointed! Didn’t go without anything and for everything else there were nearby shops and farmers markets to meet other basic needs. Real cute community. Two keys for entry and exit and a locked gate at night. Entry was behind the gate and another door so I felt pretty secure being in an unfamiliar place.

It was quaint. Lots of plants and a beautiful pool.

We brought out 12 year old and the guy was not happy. He was visibly upset. He charged my card an extra $100 and there were no inconveniences to anyone.

A very relaxing stay in the woods

Kimberly was fantastic! She was so helpful and even arranged for a fire by the pool one night. She was incredibly hospitable. All of the staff we interacted with were really kind and helpful.

the location is everything with this hotel. comfort not so much. the pillows were small squares that had little padding which made it difficult to get a good nights sleep. the pool and ambiance are nice (although the deck and concrete look outdated). nice roses and plants around, but, almost too much to the point where it looks a little junky. staff was friendly and the cabins are nicely set up with a good shower, fridge and microwave.

This is awesome place to stay. It's comfortable, private, quiet, and walkable to all Guernville

Michael and Kim were awesome hosts. :) This propery has the feel that it was custom built over the years with people who have a love and passion for what they do. The beds were super comfy. The bathroom and showers were probably the best I have seen at a hotel. Nice quality, solid tile work, with tall shower heads that have a powerful waterflow and nice hot water that comes up fast. They also have nice TVs mounted on the walls with Netflix, Hulu and other streaming services already signed in. The decor has a rustic cabin feel, but it's nice quality and very clean. I would highly recommend The Woods and I look forward to coming back myself.
