Mold, strong sewage smell, broken shutter. Had to leave immediately & book alternative accommodation

Could not stay due to the conditions, so nothing to highlight.

The property is underground (not ground floor), with visible mold and cleanliness issues (hair, spiders, and webs in various areas) and a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom, which became increasingly unbearable over time. There was also a serious safety issue, as the shutter next to the exterior door did not close properly. When we informed the host, their response was: “I don’t know what to tell you. Maybe it’s a bit blocked. You can use the curtains for darkness.” Later, when we followed up regarding the sewage smell, we received no response and no solution was offered. We were forced to leave the property on the day of arrival due to the unsanitary conditions and the safety issue, and we had to pay for alternative accommodation, without staying at the apartment. The next day, the host asked whether we wanted to check out by 11 a.m. or stay for the full duration without a refund, even though we had already left. We informed them that we had departed and requested a full refund. The host marked the booking as a no-show, even though we entered the property and left immediately due to the issues. Subsequently, the host canceled the booking unilaterally, without our action, and only a partial refund was issued, charging us for 1.5 nights, even though they had been informed that we left the same day and had already received proof photos. The process lasted approximately one week with continuous communication with Booking.com, as the host’s response was awaited. I am posting this review to inform future guests to be particularly careful when booking this property, especially regarding hygiene and safety issues.

Very dirty place

Dirty, fungus on the walls, hazard conditions. Water coming out from the walls. After every shower the whole floor was flooded. Stinks terribly. For your own safety do not book. Located in a basement.
