Very bright and spacious apartment - recommended

The apartment was very spacious and bright and had a good flow. The kitchen was well equipped. The views were great and there is a big terrace, too. It was very clean. The bathroom is very big and modern and has underfloor heating and there is a small extra toilet as well. There were TV sets in every room. The location is great in the northern part of the city center and a 10 minutes walk away from some major grocery stores (Edeka and Aldi - and a Lidl even closer). Everything worked fine with the reservation and the payment. The best restaurant in the city is situated in the ground floor of the building and the Schifffahrtsmuseum is in the neighbouring house. And even if the apartment is separate from the hostel in the same house, the hostel staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very tranquil and silent in the house itself, except from the road noise outside. We recommend this appartment.

1. There was a lot of traffic outside which was disturbing at night time. 2. The keys (chips) have to be picked up and returned in a different place than the actual apartment (about 10 min walk away) and normally only one set of keys is provided. However, we were kindly provided with the spare keys upon request since we were three people with sometimes various plans and timings.

Big, lovely, modern, stunning view

The apartment was very big, modern and lovely. We travelled as a couple with two adult family members, so we needed the sofa bed as well. I slept alright, my partner wasn't a fan of it but the others found the mattresses a bit to hard in the bedrooms. It is what it is - not home but if you want home you have to stay home. We all had a lovely time - the view from the apartment is stunning - onto the harbour with the lot - including beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The Old Town was within easy walking distance, supermarkets a bit further away but restaurants near by. For the central location the whole complex was quiet. The terrace is big and you have a lovely view all around. The two bedrooms have a TV and there's one in the open lounge/kitchen as well.

As we found with all the other accommodations in old buildings and Old Towns in Germany - no lift. Not suitable for people with mobility issues since the apartment is at roof top level. Having said that - my mum is 80 years old and she managed with a bit of a stop at each level. It was mentioned in the property description and we booked anyway. There were several lost socks of other travellers under the wash basin cabinet. Why do I mention this? I guess for the level of cleanliness (attention to detail - yes that's me thinking thank goodness it wasn't some once undies). Had to laugh anyway. This is for my fellow travellers. Show some respect and empty the fluff from the dryer. It's your job - not mine or your mums or the cleaners.

Byens bedste udsigt - lidt begrænset komfort.

Virkelig god beliggenhed og måske byens bedste udsigt fra 3. sals højde direkte ud til havnen. Kæmpe badekar, stor stue og kæmpe tagterrasse med mulighed for at sidde både ude og inde. Der var køleskab og fryser.

Vi bad om to sæt nøgler og hentede to nøglebrikker i nøgleboksen 10 minutters gang væk fra lejligheden. Vi fandt så ved et tilfælde ud af, at kun en af de to brikker kunne låse hoveddøren op, så vi måtte spørge i receptionen til det hostel, der ligger i samme bygning, om de havde ekstra nøgler. Heldigt at vi opdagede det på vej ud og ikke, da vi var splittet op i vores gruppe af 4 voksne, så vi ikke havde kunne komme ind. Der var tre ruller toiletpapir til 5 mennesker (3 overnatninger) og intet opvaskemiddel, ingen kost eller fejebakke. Kun et viskestykke og kun én karklud. Vi er enige i de andres anmeldelser af, at madrasserne er meget hårde. 3 af os vågnede af det i løbet af nætterne. Trafikken nede på vejen larmer lidt ekstra pga vej med brosten. Desuden er der en klokke på museet ved siden af, som slår timeslag. Så det larmer lidt at sove med åbne vinduer i sommervarmen.

Beliggenhed var perfekt. Hafenküche under lejligheden, var en fantastisk gourmet oplevelse. 100m så var man oppe i byen. Meget stor tagterrasse med en fantastisk udsigt. Arbejdende værfts museum lige overfor.

Skal gå lidt for at finde en gratis p-plads.

Sensationell gelegen, sehr schön eingerichtet. Hochwertig und gepflegt. Das Restaurant im Haus ist hervorragend und die Leute sind sehr freundlich!

Sehr laut aufgrund der Pflasterstrasse direkt beim Schlafzimmer. Die Couch könnte etwas größer sein, für 4 Personen etwas zu klein. Oder noch ein bequemer Sesser dazu! 😉
