Situated in the cathedral quarter, it was a perfect experience and all brought to life through an amazing host - Marion!

Authentic and with style. 16th century property with imaginative interior design making it comfortable and cosy. Beautiful breakfast and above all a welcoming and friendly host who provided everything to make our stay memorable.

The perfect stay

The owner Marion is so kind and friendly. She gave us amazing recommendations and told us much about the city and nearby places. The restaurants she told us were just perfect. The events around the city were also very nice. We basicly did everything she told us and we were always happy about it. The room was very big and also very clean. Everything was comfortable. Nothing was missing, we had everything we needed. Breakfast was really delicious. There wasn't to much choice, but it was just perfectly enough. We felt like at home with Marions way of welcoming us :) It couldn't have been better. This was probably the best stay we've ever experienced so far. Thank you for everything Marion!

Brilliant stay in Bourges

It was exceptional including our lovely host Marion who gave us very useful suggestions and information about Bourges. The 16th century house has been superbly restored and decorated with taste and flair. The bed was very comfortable and the linen sheets a delight. The continental breakfast plus eggs was delicious and abundant. We had been concerned about leaving our heavily loaded foreign car on the street but it all felt very safe and there is also a secured parking lot very close by. We had a great stay and will be back!

Everything, the owner, the ambiance, the house, the breakfast. Parking directly outside the house and the owner helped organise the parking charges to allow us to look around Bourges.

The only thing I would add is another pillow style on the bed.

This was a return visit after our trip further south. It was every bit as pleasurable as the first. If we are ever in the region we will not hesitate to stay with Marion again. She is the perfect hostess!

The property was full of character with evidence of its 400 year old history. Very comfortable light and airy. Well equipped, very clean and tidy. Had the use of the kitchen equipment if needed. Fixtures and fittings mixture of old and new but nothing detracted from the beautiful building. Perfect location for exploring Bourges and stood in the shadows of the beautiful cathedral. Such a beautiful and memorable place to visit and would not hesitate in stopping there again. Marion was a fabulous host very attentive and always eager to please. Certainly with regards to our stay Marion went above and beyond! 5 Stars definitely deserved and earned.

Delightful comfortable stay in the center of Bourges

It’s a charming historical house in a perfect location for exploring the central sites of Bouges: Cathedral, beautiful city garden, restaurants, a short walk to the Marais. Marion was a most welcoming host, very warm and friendly, and always ready to help with directions and suggestions, and with bottles of cold water ready for us when we came in from sight-seeing. Our room was on the first floor (no elevator) - very comfortable with a spacious bathroom and good shower. No A/C but the provided fan worked well, even on the very hot days when we were there. Nice breakfasts with housemade yogurts and jams. Parking was easy and nearby.

The house is old, charming, and comfortable if a bit worn around the edges - not a problem at all, but be aware if you’re expecting bright and shiny.

Wonderful stay at L'Amantine

Our stay at L'Amantine was wonderful and we received such a warm welcome from Marion who could not do enough to make our stay there comfortable. The room was lovely, bed super comfortable with a lovely bathroom (and AC which was needed as it was so hot). The downstairs lounge and dining area were beautifully appointed and we enjoyed this space when needing to relax outside of the heat. There were some lovely books and guides. Marion's breakfasts were delicious too. I highly recommend L'Amantine for anyone who wants a characterful place to stay in the centre of Bourges (right around the corner from the beautiful cathedral).

My stay at L'Amantine was amazing. Marion speaks impeccable English and is so friendly - she went out of her way to ensure I was able to eat breakfast despite my early departure. (The breakfast was spectacular - with homemade jams and yogurt, fresh pastries and baguettes from the nearby bakery and more). My room had a skylight window that featured a view of the cathedral. Such a great memory !

We had an amazing stay at L’AMANTINE. Host Marion went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and welcoming. Large bedroom with wonderful amenities. Well behaved dogs are also welcome. Breakfast was delicious; fruit, juice, yoghurt, preserves and delicious pastries from the local patisserie. Superb location in old town Bourges. What an amazing City! We will return.

La petite maison de caractère, l'accueil, le petit dejeuner très complet et le fait d'avoir accès a la totalité de la maison. Il y a une belle cuisine pour se faire à manger + un salon avec des canapés et une grande TV, en plus de la grande chambre.
