Ok for the price, missing “bathroom” photos

It is a big apartment with a great kitchen. We have more than enough towels. Bed was comfortable and the heaters were great.

The apartment is missing bathroom pics in the publication. The shower is separated from the wc, which is too small. Very uncomfortable. The location is not the best, you are close to key points but it’s not a nice area, specially at night.

Horrible scam of an apartment.

NOTHING! We want our money back. We did not stay. The ad was totally misleading. It was a musty mould-infested concrete windowless store, the toilet was broken and there were dead bugs on the walls and the furniture was stained. It never should have been listed. We had to book a hotel and left immediately. We want our money back.

Horrible!

The position

Absolutely awful experience – avoid at all costs! I stayed in this so-called “apartment” in Brussels for 4 days, and it was hands down the worst accommodation I’ve ever booked. First of all, it doesn’t even feel like an apartment – it looks and feels more like a converted garage or a closed shop. As soon as we entered, there was a strong smell of smoke, despite a Dyson air purifier running, which clearly wasn’t helping. The place was dirty and neglected: there were cobwebs, the sofa bed was stained, and the remote control had some disgusting white substance on it – completely unhygienic. The bathroom (if you can call it that) was ridiculous: just a toilet crammed into a tiny space, and when you closed the door, your knees would hit it. The shower wasn’t even in the bathroom, but in the middle of the hallway, with only a shower curtain for privacy. Totally unacceptable. Getting inside was another nightmare. You had to use a remote control to open a rolling shutter, then another to open the main door – which didn’t work properly. We literally had to wait for a man to help us force it open. To make things worse, the host was incredibly unprofessional and unhelpful. We arrived about 2 hours early and contacted him to see if we could check in. He first replied with just “hello!” and then disappeared for 16 minutes. When I messaged again, he told me he’d send the instructions in 30 minutes. We waited over an hour and 20 minutes, and still nothing. Only after a final message from us did he send a copy-pasted message with the info. I strongly do not recommend this place to anyone. Between the dirty, strange layout, the horrible smell, the lack of privacy, and the host’s complete lack of professionalism, this was a terrible experience from start to finish. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Bit Misguided

The location was not so bad in a good neighborhood. The so called appartement is cleaned, the kitchen is decent the living room is wide and nice yet the lights are very dim, the toiliet is VERY small and the shower is in the hallway which was realy weird! The bedroom is wide, yet no curtains are available, so the light from the neighbor is always in the room, and you can hear the neighbors movement outside. I was surprised when I arrived to know that the apartment is an actual shop flipped into an apartment. The outside picture associated with the post is actually an attraction in Brussels "Grand Place," which is not the real location! The real location is around 20 min away, and the real building picture was sent to us when we arrived in Brussels.

Poor property, great location

The apartment's central location is highly advantageous for tourists, offering convenient access to key transport hubs and major attractions. Situated within a 10 to 15-minute walk of Brussels Midi train station, Metro Porte de Hal, Metro Lemonnier, Manneken Pis, Grand Place, and Place Royale, it provides an excellent base for exploring the city. The area boasts a diverse selection of restaurants, including a variety of African cuisine options, enhancing the overall experience. Additionally, the reliable Wi-Fi connection proved valuable for planning daily activities and ensuring seamless connectivity throughout the stay.

The overall condition of the property was disappointing, particularly due to water seepage in the bedroom, kitchen, and bathroom area (which includes the toilet, though only the toilet has a door). The persistent dampness not only made the space colder but also contributed to a musty odor. Additionally, the heating system was slow to warm up, further impacting comfort. Being located on the ground floor, the property was also affected by noise from passersby, including conversations and singing, which at times disrupted the stay.

Short stay in Brussels

The apartment was well placed within easy reach of both the station and the Grande Place. It was clean and comfortable albeit a little quirky.

The proximity of the bathroom/wc to the kitchen. There was no toaster and we couldn't get the oven to work which meant the cooking facilities were very limited.

OK for a brief stay.

It was fitted out with brand new furnishings and equipment mainly from IKEA. The owner was very helpful when we had to contact him. The beds were comfortable. The location was shabby, but it was only 12 minutes walk straight up the road to the Grand Place and from a Lidl.

The ground floor apartment is a converted shop, complete with shutter over the door and big windows with frosted glass effect. The cooker was not working and the inside needed a clean - a microwave might be better and cheaper to replace. We had to ask for cups and a kettle which the owner provided quickly. The hob was working but we only had a small saucepan and a large frying pan and a large wok to cook with. There are cooking knives but it needs a chopping board or you risk breaking a plate to cut up food. The shower looks great but was complicated to work.

Falta de higiene, confort y habitabilidad

La experiencia fue muy negativa. Éramos tres personas y no dejaron sábanas ni mantas para el sofá cama, ni mantas para la cama principal. El sofá estaba extremadamente sucio, resultaba desagradable sentarse en él. Los vasos estaban sucios, lo que demuestra una falta total de limpieza. En el dormitorio había humedades que intentaban ocultar colocando un armario delante, algo especialmente preocupante porque las humedades afectan a la salud. Además, el alojamiento se anuncia como apartamento, pero en realidad es un local con escaparates adaptado como vivienda, sin estar correctamente acondicionado para ello. Para colmo, el anfitrión no se puso en contacto con nosotros hasta casi la hora del check-in. Intentamos llamarlo y escribirle en numerosas ocasiones sin obtener respuesta, lo que nos generó bastante preocupación e inseguridad. En general, el alojamiento no cumple unas condiciones mínimas de higiene, confort, habitabilidad ni atención al huésped.

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Gute Ausstattung, Küche war sher gut eingerichtet, inkl. Backofen, Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, ect. Ebenso gab es Tee und Kaffee. Lage nähe Bahnhof Midi (ca 8 minuten gehzeit), wir mussten am nächsten Tag früh am Bahnhof sein war also perfekt war auch sauber (es ist nur schon ein etwas älteres Gebäude)

Es war ein altes Geschäft, eine Tür im Innenraum die ins Haus nebenan führte, diese konnte man nicht aufsperren, bzw nicht von innen verriegeln, also etwas unangenehm, aber es wurde offensichtlich versucht das beste aus den Räumlichkeiten herauszuholen der Betreiber hat auf unsere Nachtichten auf booking nicht reagiert, war aber sofort telefonisch erreichbar vllt hätte man im Voraus die Heizung anschalten können, es war sehr kalt und erwärmte sich nur langsam (wir waren im November dort) man hört auch ziemlich laut die Nachbarn

El alojamiento se encuentra en un bajo comercial, que, lejos de estar aclimatado como un apartamento, se ve que únicamente han puesto cuatro muebles mal repartidos por la estancia. Sofá sucio, sin la ropa de cama necesaria para que duerma una persona allí, instalaciones sucias, mal aisladas y con humedad. Fugas en el baño y con mal olor. E incluso babosas como las de la foto como invitadas. Para colmo, el contacto con el alojamiento fue complicado, tardando en responder y mandando las instrucciones de manera poco clara (mensaje reenviado, sin intención de resolver dudas).

El peor hospedaje.

Desde el principio la experiencia fue mala, intentamos comunicarnos con el anfitrión varias veces sin respuesta por lo que tuvimos que esperar más de 1 hora con las maletas afuera. Al entrar es notorio que no es un apartamento sino un local que fue reformado, lo peor es la habitación ya que tiene un olor terrible a humedad, el baño es tan pequeño que es un reto cerrar la puerta, le escribí al anfitrión nunca respondió sin embargo a Booking dijo que me había ofrecido ubicarme en otro alojamiento o darme una limpieza sin costo, eso nunca paso y el servicio al cliente de Booking pésimo. Finalmente recomiendo mucho leer los comentarios de otras personas para que no les pase lo mismo, yo no lo hice y tuve la peor experiencia.

L’appartamento è un negozio, per entrare si deve alzare la saracinesca, la Casa puzza di muffa e fogna, la camera era un magazzino con finestre che danno su un cortile pieno di robaccia, impossibile tenerle aperte visto che affacciano direttamente sul letto senza tende, il bagno un buco con presente solo il water, o ti siedi o tieni chiusa la porta. Le foto non sono veritiere. Dopo un’ora Ce ne siamo andate e abbiamo Prenotato da un altra parte

El chico no me dio información de check-in hasta el mismo día de llegada aún pidiendosela días antes, hacia un frio en el apartamento, que es un local a pie de calle , y no a sido capaz de dar señales de vida en toda la estancia para explicarnos como poner la calefacción o simplemente donde dejarles las llaves a la salida. Ha dejado mucho que desear.

El apartamento era un local, con un baño enano, y una ducha enfrente. El propietario inexistente, se le solicito hacer el cheking antes de las 15 h y se negó, cuando para hacerlo solo era necesario un código para coger la llave de un cajetín. Cuando nos fuimos le informamos por WhatsApp, única forma de contacto, que la llave estaba en el cajetín y ni ha respondido. No entiendo la política de Booking, visita los apartamentos que alquila?, porque este no es ni un apartamento. Un sofá("cama", no se habría como cama), manchado que ni tenía sábanas para dormir. No sigo más, porque no merece la pena. Un saludo

Die ruhige und zentrumnahe Lage, die Größe des Apartments, die gut ausgestattete Küche. Mit etwas Engagement und wenig Geld könnte man ein schönes Apartment aus der Wohnung machen.

Obwohl die Ankunftszeit nochmal abgeklärt worden war, war das Apartment nicht gereingt worden, das Bett war nicht gemacht, das benutzte Geschirr stand in der Spüle, die Toilette war verunreinigt. Um die Reinigung zu ermöglichen, die schnell organisiert wurde, mussten wir unser Programm abändern und anderthalb stunden warten. Als Wiedergutmachung fanden wir bei unserer Rückkehr einen kleinen Imbiss, Süssigkeiten und Getränke vor. Das war sehr nett. Die Wohnung ist sehr spartanisch und lieblos eingerichtet. Trotz Ventilator roch es immer ein bisschen abgestanden. Der bereitgestellte Fön war vorne an der Düse geschmolzen und aufgerissen, und war lebensgefährlich nah am Waschbecken angeschlossen und gelagert. Die Toilette hatte keinen Deckel. Die Duscharmatur löste sich von der Wand. Der Preis -Leistungsverhältnis stimmt wegen dieser vielen Mängel überhaupt nicht mehr. Dabei könnte man mit wenig Aufwand sehr viel mehr aus der Wohnung machen.

Beau séjour

L'hôte à été assez réactif sur nos différents échanges. L'appartement est bien situé, pas loin des différentes gares. L'appartement était propre et confortable. Wifi et télé fortement appréciables.

Manque d'intimité au niveau de la salle de bain. Toilette légèrement étroite mais nous étions là pour visiter Bruxelles et non passer notre séjour aux toilettes donc y a bien plus grave

No sabria decir, nos decepciono bastante. La cama es comoda.

Lo que menos de todo fue la entrada. No se en Belgica, pero en España un local que se convierte en vivienda no puede tener un cierre como entrada y salida por temas de seguridad. Cada vez que entravamis y saliamos teniamos que subir o bajar el cierre electrico sin tener dentro una salida o ventana sin rejas donde poder salir en caso de incendio, si se va la luz... no puedes salir o entrar. Tampoco existia la WiFi que nombran La ducha esta en mitad del pasillo que une cocina y baño y se cierra con una cortina de plastico que como el desagüe esta atrancado se sale el agua en ocasiones. Mido 1,72 y mis piernas chocaban con la puertacdel retrete q es claustrofobica. En la habitación no hay cortinas ni persianas que t ayuden a quitar la luz del dia cuando amanece. Encontramos dos cucarachas en la cocina, puede que por ser un bajo etc sea comun...yo lo comento. La señora que nos entrego las llaves no nos indico donde debíamos depositar las llaves al desalojar la casa y con el tipo de cierre etc estuvimoscescribiendo y esperando por ko dejar todo sin cerrar y que pasara algo, lo cual nos retraso a nuestra ida un poco. ella fue atenta en alguna cosa como dejarnos entrar antes y ponernos un rollo de papel extra como le pedimos...pero la comunicación nos costo.

La atención por parte del anfitrión, nos permitió dejar nuestras maletas antes de tiempo, y para irnos igual, nos permitió dejar nuestro equipaje en el apartamento hasta la hora de nuestro vuelo. Fue muy considerado y muy amable, estamos muy agradecidas. El apartamento estaba equipado de todo lo necesario. Camas cómodas, y para mí tiene lo imprescindible para poder viajar, lugar cómodo donde estar y dormir. Para repetir.
