Luxury Woodland Retreat with Pool

Great accommodation, didn't stay at the site much but the additional evening facilities looked very good.

the property is in nice location, loads of green around for fresh morning walks, Asda few min drive, beach's few minutes drive.

Great base to explore Cornwall from each day. Central spot with most parts of the area within the hours drive. Lidl and ASDA a few mins drive away. Quiet holiday park. Lots of cottages . Car parking around 100m away, depending on the number of guests staying. Place felt big enough for the 5 of us. Second bathroom was helpful. Simply decorated. Kitchen was able to be used for cooking meals in at home. Small dishwasher. Extra facilities on the grounds looked good. (We didn't use as have to pay extra and we were out all day.)

Wifi could be slow or not work at times. You need to bring your own dishwashing liquid, dishwashing tablets, garbage bags, dishcloths, paper towel, etc as none are supplied (owner said they're not allowed to have cleaning products as no locked cupboard). Limited supply of TP. One tea towel supplied for the week. Master mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. No hairdryer there when we stayed.

Nice layout of the lodge, cosy, lovely kitchen and dining space

A bit outdated furniture, dusty on the terrace with cobwebs, it could be a little bit cleaner. The house smells a bit musty and damp. On the biggest room (masters) the mattress needs some updating I think, not comfy for people with back and shoulder problems like me and my husband. On the room with 2 single beds, one of the bed frame was broken on the foot area but the landlord sent someone promptly to check, the estates guy glued something to prevent the frame collapsing but suggested the bedframe needs to be replaced. Th ground floor shower drains really slowly, so maybe needs some extra TLC on plumbing.
