Lodge 1, The Grange

The kitchen area is massive compared to what we expected. There is also a separate living area with sofa and a tv which I did not expect at all. The property has a covered terrace, with fairy lights and a big table with chairs for al fresco dining. Unfortunately at the time of our stay the season was not ready for this terrace to be enjoyed. We particularly appreciated the underfloor heating, and the provision of tools in the kitchen which made our life easier during our stay. From the property it is possible to access to a nice walk in the golden valley and by car we were able to reach Bristol and Bath in around 15-20 minutes.

This is not due to the host, but the phone and internet reception in the area is very poor. We were accidentally given the wrong code to the key lock, and it took us a while to be able to get in contact with the host upon our arrival to ask for help. However, as soon as we managed to phone them, they immediately came to meet us and provide the code. Something to be aware of (and it’s shown in the pictures provided by the host in the website) is that the two rooms are only separated by a wall that is not full height, so any noises and lights in each room are shared between the rooms. As this is clearly shown, we were prepared for it and this wasn’t an issue for our family.
