Beautiful cabins in Shaftesbury Dorset countryside

Lovely location just a 10 minute drive into Shaftesbury where you can find everything you need. Fabulous pub next door with lovely staff, great pizza from the outdoor bar and amazing choice on the pub menu. The cabin is clean with a small but impressive shower room. Comfortable beds and lots of towels and bed linen. Good WIFI. No TV which we liked.

The cabin is much smaller than it looks on the photographs. Unbearably hot during the day and no outdoor shade. The outside area is very neglected. Broken decking panels on the steps, outdoor storage lid heavy and not on hinges so not safe. Spare deckchairs mud stained. Stinging nettles growing around the steps. Outdoor table dirty and very unstable. The area behind the cabins looks like a dumping ground. Generally looks very uncared for. No extra touches or attention to finer details throughout. Would be great if matches were provided for the fire pit. Take your own coffee unless you want to drink instant sachets.

The location is stunning. The lodge is really nice and clean and very comfortable.

Would be better for couples as bathroom is in the main bedroom. But would stay again just the two Of us 😊

It was cheap and perfect for what we needed,

Got there in the dark, there was no lighting and no obvious signage showing where the lodges were. We got there fair late at night, couldn’t work the job but the owner did come and show us. We had also booked a twin room and the sofa bed as old brother and sister were together. Everything was set up for double bed and the sofa bed only had one double duvet so our old r children had a good fall out before deciding sharing was their only option. We had gone for a funeral the next day and it was just a little bit stressful on arrival
