Fantastic and value for money!

The Balinese style bungalow huts are absolutely beautiful. Inside is nice and simple, only what you need. Location is great as it’s so close to the front, would recommend a torch as at night the lane back to Kuba Elsa is dark. Bar and restaurants all around. We don’t use the pool as we went to Lovina for the dolphins but it’s looks pretty and refreshing.

2 small things, a full length mirror and the front lock isn’t the best but there is a safe in room.

Nice hotel in Lovina

The staff, the location, the breakfast, the pool. The rooms were ok. Transportation service was great.

Some things needs to be refreshed such as sunbeds, pillows in chairs etc. A safety box in the room would be great. There was a smell in the rest rest room. Water pressure was low. Otherwise great!

Better hotels around for the money.

The location is good, plenty of cafes around. The facade of the building was beautiful, old Balinese style.

The room facade looked beautiful but the inside told a different story. The room was tidy and the bathroom small but it was a standard room and we did not expect a big room. The first room the air con was not working well and the water did not heat up after the first shower so we moved rooms. The second room was better, the air con worked but the hot water was still hit and miss. The bathroom flooded as there was no rubber seal on the bottom of the door. The fellow in charge, Komang, could be found most times either on his phone or not there at all. The young people getting trained were on their phones most of the time, not getting trained well at all. There was a young girl there (Linda I think was her name) and she seemed to be doing most of the work and was lovely. This could be a nice hotel, but sadly the lack of care going into the rooms, garden etc is showing. I would not stay again nor recommend it to friend.s

Very comfortable and friendly stay in Lovina

Staff very nice and available, especially Komang who’s super friendly, and helped me organize my drive to my next location. Hotel is well located, 3 minutes walking from the beach. Super clean. Breakfast is fresh and very good

Amazing Service all day long - from breakfast, about Trips and local advices. Rooms and houses are lovely, everything was clean and room service was on request available and just perfect. The stay was just perfect and matching a perfect vacation

Good location - 5 min walk from walking street and beach, friendly staff and simple, but tasty breakfast.

It looks better in the pictures, but it's only ok for an overnight stay. You can hear the traditional anthem in the middle of the night, and if there's a party on the main street, you can hear it very well too.

Quiet location to retreat to but close to everything you need

Quiet location but close to restaurants beach and you can get a really lovely massage just a few meters down the lane. Friendly and accommodating staff. Nice spacious rooms in Balinese style which kept quite cool during the day. Nice pool to cool off and relax. Organised driver to my next location without bother. Good value with breakfast.

Nice and helpful staff, short walk from Lovina beach

Short walking distance to Lovina beach and surrounding shops and restaurants, but down a side street making the area very quiet, with no noise issues disturbing your sleep. The staff were very friendly and always greeted us with a smile whenever they saw us. They also had some recommendations of waterfalls to visit and helped to organise a motorbike rental as well as a transfer to our next hotel in Ubud. Make sure to ask them for their help guide/Lovina pdf in advance of your stay (for some reason they only send this the day of), as it includes helpful tips and prices for activities and transfers from their local contacts. Prices will be cheaper than what you can get from third party booking sites, and they’ll be able to vouch for the locals they recommend - plus the locals see the benefits from your direct booking rather than lose a portion of the money to a third party vendor. Room was very spacious, clean and there was a small fridge which was handy and aircon worked well.

Water pressure wasn’t great but this was quite common across many areas in Bali.

Great location to walk to see the glorious sunset and lots of beautiful restaurants. Large comfortable room and bed. Plenty of hot water & good shower. The pool was lovely and cool on a hot afternoon & gardens were a delight.

The only complaint was the light on the air conditioner was bright & we struggled to sleep. Just a minor thing really!

Quiet and gorgeous villa with super helpful staff.

The friendliness of the staff. Komang and his partner were lovely hosts. The property is pristine clean and beautifully maintained. At Komang’s suggestions it was no trouble for them to modify the breakfast menu to accommodate my vegan diet. Lovely fresh fruit and delicious banana pancakes. There’s an urn that has constant boiling water and tea and coffee are provided. The pool area is delightful and has plenty of shade and the water in the pool was extremely clean and was not highly chlorinated.

I am not a smoker and it is unpleasant to have smoking allowed in the breakfast area. Lovina beach is not very clean (much rubbish/plastic) and I didn’t swim there. There were also many boat owners vying/hassling for business. I chose not to participate in the dolphin tour as three different people told me of their experience. The boat owners hound the dolphins and stay way too close them. I do not ethically agree with this practice. I feel for the small business operators but we have to try and respect the environment and marine life.

Beautiful heritage style Balinese villa in the heart of Lovina Beach district

Cannot say enough good things about Kubu Elsa and how lovely my stay was here. Komang and Mama Ketut were always so helpful, and accommodating to any and every request. They, along with the other staff, went above and beyond to make my stay in Lovina that much more memorable. Breakfast was simple but adequate with a few options to cater to everyone’s taste. The rooms were ample and spacious, comfortable and well-appointed, it had everything I needed plus a beautiful view of the mountain and surrounding landscape. The villas are located in the centre of the Lovina beach district and only a 5 minute walk to the beach with Jalan Binaria just a stone’s throw away. Komang gets a special mention for a quick turnaround when I asked to upgrade rooms, arranging local transport for me when I wanted to get out to the waterfalls, temples and hot springs for an afternoon; AND also organising my transfer to Ubud on the day of check out. Five stars to the staff for the excellent service and hospitality! I would highly recommend and have promised myself I will go back :)

Amazing homestay, lovely/spacious rooms with very comfortable bed

This was one of our favourite home-stays in Bali, and we’ve been to several different places. We only stayed one night, but would have liked to stay longer. Really nice rooms with everything you need, and bed was very comfortable. Also bathroom looks new and very nice, good shower. It’s off the main road so was quiet.

There was no fridge in the room, but you can put something in the fridge at the reception.

Great place in Lovina

Great base within Lovina as it is right next to the main beach. The room itself was very clean and the hotel had a nice pool to swim in. There was a great breakfast included as part of the room with amazing choices of food and drink (the banana pancakes were delicious). The hotel were really helpful in sorting out a driver for the waterfalls and tickets to see the dolphins. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

rooms are huge, beds are super comfy, pool is a huge bonus. staff are all fantastic and the breakfast is great! (especially the coffee). located in the heart of lovina near the beach, but it’s nice and quiet at night. excellent value for money and I can’t wait to return.

MUST STAY PROPERTY

Great location, comfortable room, with aircon, nice pool and breakfast is a good start to the day. Scooter parking is a bonus.Only a short walk to restuarants, bars and beach. Komeng the manager is very helpful and kind. Would definitely stay again.

Zeer mooi hotel in het centrum van Lovina. Niet groot maar wel ruime kamers. Ook eindelijk een locatie die rekening houd met voldoende stopcontacten ivm het opladen van alle apparatuur die een toerist meesleept.

Die herzlichen, ehrlichen Gespräche mit den Gastgebern war was ganz besonderes. Der Stil der Bungalows und die Sauberkeit. Vielen Dank für alles wir haben zwei schöne Tage verbracht.

Leider war in der unmittelbaren Umgebung bis morgens früh laute Musik was man im Zimmer gehört hat. Dafür können allerdings die Gastgeber nichts. Für die kleine "Kaffee-Bar" wäre etwas mehr Sauberkeit des Zuckerglases oder Portionspäckchen empfehlenswert.
