Substandard - Not as advertised. More of a boarding house than an apartment.

They were unaware of the booking so property not ready The facilities were not as advertised- there was no cooking facilities as hob and oven were not in use - neither was dishwasher High cleaning was poor - so many spiders Heater in one bedroom not working Bathroom - felt the description should have been accurate and stated no shower as certainly would never have booked. The bath was disgustingly stained. Lamp on floor bizarrely on a timer that woke me with a fright when it turned on ( on a timer ) at 0628 hrs Substandard Should have requested a refund

Good location and good price for 3 doubles. Window shutters helpful.

Stain on the bedroom carpet not great. Kitchen tap needs fixing Furniture not great, dining table very wobbly could have done with more comfy chairs.

Handy location if no car. Adequate accom.

Location 5 mins walk from metro and 5 mins to coop. Easy walk to beach. Pleasant decor and lighting in lounge. Comfortable bed. Basics eg. Tea, coffee, shampoo etc available.

The requirement to email my ID without the provision of a data protection statement for the property. The general booking.com data protection statement was provided in response to my request which did not give adequate information for how Azule property would handle my data. Booked 2 bedroom but one ‘bedroom’ was in the lounge. Limited cutlery eg 4 forks, therefore unable to use dishwasher. Sofa and towels for 2 people. Would have been tricky with 4 people. Traditional windows draughty and shutter in bedroom doesn’t close properly. Traffic noise.

Great location, poorly equipped.

The location of the apartment was the best thing. We were given a bottle of bubbly which was nice.

The kitchen was extremely lacking in working equipment and the only utensils were knives, forks, spoons and a pizza cutter. Only 1 pillow supplied per person. Many many spiders and cobwebs. Nothing to sweep up sand from our visit to the beach No mat inside at the entrance door, the floor became very slippery as it was raining.

No safety precautions

The location

Not as advertised, the apartment is in need of a good overhaul. The place was very tired, had a stale smell and was dirty in areas round the skirting boards. There were no pans or cooking utensils, no fire blanket or extinguisher, no information on what to do if there was a fire, how to use the heating, hot water. No information pack whatsoever regarding the apartment or about Tynemouth itself. We were put in a one room basement apartment (I paid for the 2 bed apartment with separate living area and did receive a 20% refund) but on other sites even this apartment advertised a separate living area which it did not have. On our return stay the owner had unlocked the other bedroom door in it was 2 rooms both bedrooms both very basic no mirrors, TV etc The only good thing I can say about this place is the location the owners need to upgrade the place and add the essential fire safety precautions and cooking equipment. I am amazed that this place is allowed to be advertised on different booking sites without the necessary fire and safety precautions in place

The apartment served our purpose and we enjoyed the proximity to bars, coffee shops and restaurants.

Excellent position. Very close to the centre of town. The property was clean and well equipped with basics.

The apartment could have been enhanced with some heating. Felt cold and damp in the evening. Also a better quality mattress and pillows would have been appreciated. The oven and gas rings were out of action, which did not affect our stay, may be a factor for other future clients.

Great weekend away

Had 3 double beds. TV in every bedroom. Kitchen with everything in it. Clean spacious and great loaction.

The bed in 3rd room mattress you could feel every spring. Apart from that a great place to stay.

Adequate

I know Tynemouth having grown up there, so I knew the location. It was good. Parking has got very difficult, which isn't the hosts fault, but it is a problem for anyone staying with a car. The last question about Cullercoats Beach is very odd, given King Edwards Bay, Long Sands are closer and much more impressive.

We missed the description of the kitchen not having a cooker - our issue but it meant we had to eat out more. A couple of other small niggles but easy to correct. A car pass would have been useful.

Good location, misleading images and description

Location is great and very close to the beach and local bars and food establishments. Beds were relatively comfy and kitchen was clean and stocked with tea and coffee facilities.

The pictures are misleading, as the only shower available during our stay was a handheld one—not ideal for attending a wedding! However, an overhead shower is shown in the images. Parking in the immediate area was permit only, which was not provided, therefore, we had to park several streets away. There was also sand on the floor on our arrival, prior to us visiting the beach.

Brilliant location , clean and comfortable apartment.

Excellent location for the coast, 5 minute walk to the beach. Excellent location for transport into Newcastle city centre and other locations. Clean, quiet area, comfortable apartment. Easy access , not requiring a key (keypad ) , local amenities within walking distance, coffee shops, pubs, restaurants.

Excellent location 2 mins walk from metro & short stroll into town ...perfect for walking to both north shields & further up coast...key less access great

Would have been useful to have information in the accommodation re heating ( this was sorted promptly after a call)places to eat etc/ recommended places to visit...we had prior knowledge of area so location was great...also couldn't find a hairdryer

Some good points and some less good points.

Clean, newly painted, warm once I worked out the heating, grandchildren very much appreciated the Easter eggs, comfortable, high ceilings.

No instruction manual at the flat with useful information and detailed instructions, heating difficult to work out, hot water in shower difficult to make cooler, no drinking glasses apart from wine glasses, cheap cutlery, odd configuration of rooms with double bed in living room and lots of corridors and empty space, only one (2-seater) sofa for 5 people in living room, cold tap in bathroom basin dripping, hot tap in bathroom basin only a dribble, some carpets fraying at edges, kitchen sink drains very slowly, only 1 toilet for 5 people, main road a bit noisy. Maybe I’m being picky, but you may not be aware of all these things, and for the money you charge one expects a certain level of quality.

Great location near the metro and town. Cosy and warm.

Location of the property was excellent, we had everything we needed in the appartment, it was warm and cosy.

The mattress in bedroom one was extremely uncomfortable, you could feel the springs, and yet there was an amazing memory foam topper in the lounge bed. I suggest you add a topper to the other two beds.

AzZule apartment is very nice and clean with a fully equipped kitchen. The location of the apartment is fantastic, in the centre of Tynemouth. Everything you would want to visit (or might need) is very close - the priory, piers, beaches, grocery store, post office, bars, restaurants, metro station, etc.

It was clean and in a central location.

The location was very central and also close to the beach. It was very clean and had everything that you would need for a short stay. The host was very quick to respond. There was free parking around the corner from the flat.

The flat was listed as two separate bedrooms and a living room. It only had one separate bedroom and the second bed was in the living/dining room. We did feel a little vulnerable as there was other doors where we were unsure if anyone else could enter our flat. It did have some traffic noise.
