Not grt

This place needs a complete refresh, the lighting is like a hostel, the furniture is shabby and not sheek.

It's dusty and the oven needs replacing. The check in time is 4pm which is later than most.

Disappointed re parking

Property was clean - good cooking facilities

Radiator in smallest bedroom didn't work. The details for parking can be found under "The Property" heading in the property description section. Surely it's more appropriate to find them under the heading "Parking" in the facilities section. This is quite important as you will discover that outside the property is " Residents Only". Our family received a ticket because we arrived in darkness on a rainy evening and thought we had the good fortune of finding a rare parking space just outside the property unbeknown to us it was residents only space. We made a late booking and was told a rep would meet us at a prearranged time to show us the property and go through the facilities, however, we were told at short notice that this wouldn't happen - the keys would be left in a key box. No real problem but it was a bit annoying as I had endured a long journey and was rushing to arrive at the property at the prearranged time ( which I did ). After gaining entry I responded to a message sent by the rep asking if we had gained access. I stated " car conveniently parked just outside the accommodation". I did receive an acknowledgement but no remark relating to residents parking being just outside and of course if he had been at the house to meet us then it probably would have saved us a ticket for £70.

Terrible 😢

Property was clean and comfortable beds . Good location for town centre

When we turned up the place was freezing the boiler didn’t have any pressure so no heating or hot water . We called the caretaker who told us what to do and we found the pipes under the cupboard which had a leak which probably explained the lack of pressure. We put pans underneath the pipes to catch the water and caretaker said he would be round the next day to sort it out but never came . We went up to the bedrooms to hear wind howling through and had to put towels in the huge gaps in the windows which frames ….no radiator in smallest bedroom. We spent the first night in the kitchen as it was the only room that started to get warm enough to sit in . By the next morning we were brave enough to go into the living room which only had one radiator not nearly enough for such a large room

A very old charming home minutes from the beach.

The location was Amazing. It was clean. It worked well for our needs.

No parking outside property. I think owner should give a temporary permit for the duration of your stay. Unsightly construction site right next door that was never mentioned upon booking. There is a ton of scaffolding next door. There is no hammering but looks ugly. Apparently has been like this for 5 years or so.. No bedside lamps on side tables. You have to get out of bed to turn the light off. A cheap fix . One bedroom had had a leak and plastering was a brown triangle that again a coat of paint would have made this aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Lots of stairs! This home is on 3 levels. My 82 yr old mother chose not to stay with us when she saw all the stairs.

Ideal location

Perfect location. Opposite a park, close to beach and restaurants are just around the corner.

Residents parking permit would be handy. You are only allowed two hours per day with pay and display outside.Free parking is up the hill.

A great two night stay

From arriving and being greeted by Mark, who we found was, courteous, very informative and helpful and stressed he was contactable if any problem arose (which it didn't). The presentation of the apartment was very good

It was smack bang in the town centre.

It was cold outside, so if the heating had been on a little while before our arrival, it would have been warmer the first night.

Very accessible. Good location between beach and town

Good location and good size property for the size of my family. Beds comfortable.

Nothing major but small things make stay more pleasant ie Towel rail in upper bathroom. Kitchen poorly equipped, more glasses. A cafeteria would have been a good addition. The owner will have no control of the situation next to the property however the pigeons roosting on rear wall not pleasant. Perhaps council could do something

A lovely big town house in a quiet street close to lots of attractions.

Mark was an excellent host and very generous. The property has a town house feel with lots of character. It is really big with beautiful natural light throughout from the large windows. The lounge and bedrooms are very beautiful. It is in a quiet street within 2mins walk from beaches, amusements, park, bars and shops. Mark also hosts the Sea View Apartments which boasts amazing views across the sea, we will definitely look these up next time.

It was all good, a few tiny tweaks (as it has only recently been open I think!) will make this a 10.

Great base for families right by one of the region's nicest beaches.

Great location within short walking distance of the beach, amusements and the legendary South Shields curry mile! Good wifi for the kids, nice TV, well-equipped kitchen and 3 good bedrooms. Mark was quick to respond to extra wishes we had. Sandhaven beach is one of the best in the area. It is directly on the England coast path, which offers good walks (especially towards the South). Easy access to Tynemouth (via ferry) and Newcastle (via Metro), which are both well worth visiting.

Very good

Beds were very comfortable Everything was on the doorstep within walking distance. The park was ideal from our family to play in and within walking distance of swimming pool, arcades and beach. The person (mark) welcomed us at the property and made us feel like nothing was a problem. He explained where to park and was very friendly.

Unfortunately it rained on our stay but that is British weather for you.
