Fantastic location close to shops, restaurants and both beaches. Quiet and comfortable, with a handy wet room for dogs and wellies. We had read a few reviews about it not being clean, but we found it clean and tidy to a good standard when we arrived. Our host was very welcoming and helpful.
The beds and bedding were somewhat uncomfortable, although the mattresses were clean and new. Some windows didn't close properly so as it was winter, some rooms were draughty. The neighbour in the alley next door left an offensive note on our windscreen one day (despite us using the residents' permit which had been kindly left in the house for us), even though we were careful to not block entrances or the side lane. It didn't affect our stay however, which was very enjoyable and comfortable, especially for a large group. Dogs loved it too!

Absolutely amazing location to access the beach and local amenities. Lovely welcome treat of cheese scones, butter, milk, etc. There was lots of space and we ate as a family of 9 in the kitchen very easily. Locals were really friendly and we had amazing weather.
A few of the beds were a little uncomfortable, and there is a need for better curtains in the upstairs bedrooms to block out the sun. Neither impacted on the stay at all.

The location was very central but only a few hundred yards from excellent beaches. The host was very responsive to a last minute request.
It had no garden (but we knew that before we came).

Excellent location. Easy walk to beaches,shops and restaurants. Plenty of crockery, cutlery, seating,super range of kitchen equipment, appliances,tv’s. Lots of storage and hangers, games, books ,even dog bowls and bed. Spacious flat with good wifi and parking on and off road for three vehicles. Flexible configuration of beds, all but one of which were comfortable. A very nice welcome pack and speedy responses from the owner who kindly let us drop our bags before the (helpful )cleaners had finished. Great highchair and facilities for families. Lovely to be able to bring a dog.
It is not a “detached cottage”as described but an apartment in a house above shops. Entrance is via a shabby shared yard and up two flights of stairs. One of the toilets was out of order, the heating system was noisy and hot water unreliable-we had to re pressurise the system several times. Top floor largest bed had four broken slats. There was a leak through the ceiling of the inner entrance door. Tiles in small ensuite are cracked and grout grubby. That bedroom needs somewhere to hang towels-a freestanding rail perhaps or one attached to a radiator. While there is an extinguisher and instructions regarding fire, there’s no viable exit other than the three flights of stairs and no fire doors. Carpets are badly stained in many places. Small things that would contribute to a better feeling are a new table cloth(it’s stained and torn)and table mats. More than one dishcloth per week and more than one towel per person would be good too. The vegetable peeler was broken and I couldn’t buy one locally. One of the bins was broken. Drawers contained clothing left by previous guests. So a mixed bag of really very good for a multi generation family group (it was very thoughtfully equipped) and somewhere that felt tired and neglected.
