Not as described

Convenient location

The shower and underneath the radiator was covered in mould. No where on this listing was it stated it was a shared housing. Therefore we were rather startled when another guest was present.

Decent Location but Let Down by Noise and Cleanliness

The property was easy to find and in a good location. There's plenty of off-road parking. And, for a cheap stay, it did the job.

Unfortunately, there were several issues during our stay. The property wasn’t quite up to the standard we felt was portrayed in the photos. The bathroom seemed a little dirty, with noticeable mould in the grouting and silicone. The condition of the property also felt quite well-used. There were a lot of scuff marks on the walls, and overall it had the feel of older student-style accommodation rather than what we expected from the listing. The property was very cold when we arrived at midnight, with no heating on and no clear instructions on how to operate it. This meant we had a very cold night’s sleep. The heating did come on in the morning, but by then it didn’t help with the overnight discomfort. Noise was also a challenge, though we appreciate this isn’t entirely the host’s fault. The setup of the accommodation means you share the property with another guest, and the walls and floors are quite thin. We could hear the other guest very clearly—including a phone call at 6am—and movement around their room echoed through the hard floors. Additionally, as the property is semi-detached, you can also hear the neighbours through the bedroom wall. While this isn’t directly the host’s fault, it is a reality of the building, and light sleepers may struggle without earplugs. Because of all of this combined, we unfortunately didn’t get a restful night’s sleep.

Overall not a bad place, but not amazing, needs some TLC

Locks on both the entrance and the door into the room. Although the bones on the place could use some TLC, everything else was mostly clean. There was an issue with the door on the washing machine getting stuck and they owners responded quickly and it was opened not long after, good response time. A short walk to a beautiful park.

The walls are really thin, no fault of the owners, but the neighbours decided they wanted to watch something at midnight on multiple nights and hearing the speaker turn on and off woke me. Same with the lock sounds, the two rooms are right next to each other and you can hear the code really loudly, especially when the other person there came back late at night. It's a bit far from things, and the bus was irregular and often very late. The house does need some TLC, and a deep clean in places, not to mention the rainfall shower head likes to make it rain in all directions. Backyard is kind of difficult to use as the wooden decking is broken and looks unstable, the only bench was covered in weeds and the area lowest down was slimy and dirty, the grass was ok but again needs some work.

Don't believe the pictures on advert

Location was good for Alexander Stadium

There's nothing like the pictures. Whole place was filthy. Out of date food from 2 years ago. Blocked drain in garden so filthy water flooding. The toilet seat was broken. Plug sockets in bedroom connected to a plug (bodge job and fire hazard). Absolutely no communication from the host before arriving. Messaged 2 weeks before about parking and totally ignored. Only communication we had was when we left, and they wanted to know what time we were checking out. Also thanking us for our stay and for choosing the property (obviously wanting good reviews)

Tv signal is intermittent. Breakfast options aren't great unless you love a fry up every morning. I'd much rather skip breakfast and they deduct the price they charge for it each day from the overall booking and that would make it much better value for money!

Fantastic accommodation and location. Clean, tidy and very comfortable. Really enjoyed my stay.

The accommodation was fantastic. Very clean, tidy and safe. Very easy to get around and everything was easy to find in the accommodation. Really happy with the owners. They were very helpful and friendly. Many thanks. The location was brilliant. I went for a canal walk on the Saturday and to the RSPB centre on the Sunday.
