Stomici Guesthouse

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I loved our stay here! The family hosting the guesthouse are some of the kindest and most hospitable people. The room felt private from the rest of the house, was clean, spacious, and had AC (while many say is not needed in Theth, was really nice during the day when it is well into 30+ degrees. There is private parking right by the room, a gorgeous outdoor seating area (with a great view), and an absolutely delicious breakfast. There is a drinks fridge that you can use with beer, wine, and all sort of soft drinks. I cannot overstate how much we enjoyed our stay, it was our favourite place in Albania. The location is right by the blue eye trailhead (walkable or drivable). The entire road to Theth and to Nderlysaj is paved. The last 100m to the guesthouse isn’t but any car can make it and you can park at the bottom by the road if your car can’t make it up the hill to the back parking spot. While we were initially concerned staying outside of Theth, it was much nicer. Theth is extremely accessible by car or taxi and Nderlysaj feels much more separate than the hectic tourism. There’s great restaurants and bars in Nderlysaj or you can drive 10 minutes to Theth.

Nothing it was wonderful! Note: while a 4x4 is easier to drive around Theth or to the guesthouse, it is explicitly necessary and can be done with a normal sedan.

Amazing place, friendly owners, clean room with private bathroom and AC. Good location for hiking to the Blue Eye (1hr). Good and tasty breakfast. Overall great experience

I liked everything

Petro and his family made our stay absolutely 10/10 thanks to their kindness and hospitality. The grass area in front of the guesthouse is perfect for sitting to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The breakfast was just what you need to set you up for the hike to the nearby Blue Eye.

The access road is a little rocky but not a problem if you take it slowly and absolutely worth it to get away from the crowds further up the valley and be surrounded by amazing views.

The location

The power wasn’t reliable, we had to share the bathroom with a another room. Total of 7 people using one small bathroom. While they advertise with a private bathroom. Breakfast was served with cold coffee and tea. No possibility to make and prepare own food as the fridge wasn’t reliable due to the power cuts all the time. The kitchen was very dirty.
