Lovely stay in Ballycastle

Siobhan was so friendly and accommodating, her house was beautifully presented and the rooms were exceptionally clean and bed was very comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was lovely too, thank you Siobhan! I would recommend this place to stay and we will be back!

Divine Cottage is exactly what its name suggests.

Beautiful rooms tastefully decorated. The property has a lovely, comfortable lounge where we could all relax. A large comfortable bed and the most wonderful breakfast ever. The house is about a 15-minute walk into Ballycastle. The host Siobhan couldn't not do enough for us. One of our party had suffered a broken wrist earlier on the afternoon we arrived. Siobhan was very thoughtful and did everything she could to make sure the injured party was comfortable. There is room to park one car on the drive next to the host's. I also loved Shadow the cat who was very elusive until the morning of our departure. Weather wasn't great for us, but I imagine on a beautiful day it would be a lovely walk into the town.

I thought that sharing a bathroom with the host might be a little uncomfortable but in reality, it was just like having a private bathroom.

Lovely stay in a comfortable room with great breakfast

Siobhan was lovely and kept us informed of checkin details, and gave a lovely welcome to her home. Room was great and bed comfortable so had a lovely nights stay. Recommendation for food in the town was also very good. Breakfast was great, lovely mix of cold and cooked items, great bread and pastries!

Gorgeous part of the world

Breakfast was lovely - oats, eggs, lots of freshly baked pastries. Easy walk into town. Siobhan was very helpful and kind. Location: the Causeway Coast is stunning. Divine Cottage is something of a steal given the prices of other places.

Prices in the area are high. That said, it is a major tourist destination. And we were there is peak season.

Perfect

Síobháin is an amazing host. The room is beautiful, lovely furnishings and spotless. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and we had a great nights sleep. Breakfast was very nice and Síobháin very kindly filled our flask and gave us some pastries for our day ahead. The accommodation is great, it is Síobháin’s home and we felt treated like family. Go raith maith agat

Pleasant place to stay in Ballycastle

Siobhan was very friendly and gave us good advice about where to visit in the local area. The room was comfortable but a bit on the small side.

There was no TV, which is clearly stated but I'd missed it, and was hoping to watch the Euros final. Siobhan told us about the local sports bar, and we ended up having a great night in the pub, so it all worked out well.

Uncomfortable

The property was beautifully decorated and very clean.

The location of the property is not within walking distance to town or to the beach. It is in a residential neighborhood and walking from town is about 30 minutes up very steep streets. The host seemed uncomfortable having us in her house and suggested we should find another place to stay without agreeing to refund our payment to her. She asked us to leave the property as pristine as we found it and jumped out of her skin when I walked to the kitchen door to ask her a question. She did give us a ride to the hotel we were able to reserve since we weren’t able to contact a taxi even with her help. She was obviously not comfortable having us in her house and the location of the property was not a good fit for us. Worst experience of our two week trip to Ireland.

Siobhan is a lovely and welcoming host. She gave us some great tips of places to see outside the beaten tracks. The room was very cosy with a comfy bed and a delicious breakfast was served in the kitchen. It is possible to park the car just outside the house, which is located a short walk away to the town centre. Definitely a great base to explore the stunning Antrim coast.

Siobhan, Our host was such a lovely lady, nothing too much trouble.Our room was clean and comfortable. Although there was no fridge in the room, we had the use of the kitchen fridge to store milk and wine. Chilled water provided, which was very welcome. Continental breakfast with the option of fresh scrambled eggs and overnight oats and fresh fruit.

Divine it really is

This place is superb and Sioban is utterly lovely as our host. Immediately we walked in I sensed the place was beautifully fragrant and clean...The room is sumptuous the bed luxuriously comfortable..spotless Shared bathroom perfect this was no issue right by our bedroom door. Lots of little touches. Charging point in bedroom, bath robes, everything we needed , lovely bath and shower immaculate and aesthetic. We felt very comfortable and Sioban was really helpful to us helping us get into Ballycastle for food to eat in the evening. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented like being in a top hotel but with lovely time for chit chat in the morning

We should have sorted a taxi into and from town before hand. We should have booked a table for dinner beforehand as ballycastle was busy

Lovely stay at Divine Cottage!

Lovely location for a stopover while travelling the Antrim Coast. Siobhan is an excellent host - very friendly and accommodating of the rugby mad New Zealanders! We enjoyed chatting over cups of tea. The house is decorated beautifully. The bed was very comfortable and the location is quiet, so we had a great night's sleep. Everything that was needed was provided. The sitting room was nice. We also enjoyed the company of her lovely cat Shadow. We didn't want to leave!
