Spacious apartment with good facilities

Having read previous reviews I was pleasantly surprised - we had a warm welcome on arrival with clear instructions to the property. The apartment was spacious with a well equipped kitchen, lovely lounge area, plenty of bedroom space and a good sized bathroom.

Not so much things I didn't like - but things to be aware of before you book here. We were a bit out of season (second half of September), so nothing much open onsite, this did mean it was quiet. Cleaning wasn't the best but adequate - just needed a bit more attention to detail. The site is at the top of a steep hill away from the town centre, if you don't have a car this could be an issue as there isn't much in terms of eating out local to the site.

Staff unfriendly to holiday goers!! Apartment lovely and resort lovely and reception staff lovely.

Set up of pub and swimming pool and apartments and play area for kids, and lots of family small homes on site, this was great. But feel the staff they hired to run it very bad and didn't give a sh_t. Reception staff were lovely!!!!!!! Bar staff very bad and swimming pool staff bad, very local area feel , didn't feel welcome to real holiday people which I taught the place was soposed to be for!!!!!

You have to go to the pub which opens at 10am way past breakfast time, to get breakfast. And very expensive in pub. Also staff in pub very bad, very rude to people not from the area. Looks like a local pub in a holiday resort!! We brought our food out of pub and eat it in peace at our apartment. This was the most horrible thing of the holiday, they played bingo in pub and you couldn't eat dinner there. Everyone looking at you eat in a local pub. Didn't feel friendly at all!!!

Best Surprise ...

This apartment is located on a holiday camping site, a piece of information I missed at the time of booking, but OMG when we arrived at our destination we were sooooo excited. The park was clean and tidy, as was the apartment, the staff were friendly and helpful, there was kids of all ages milling around having fun. The kids loved the pool, the bistro food hit the spot and the town and beach are just down the hill. We had some very sad kiddies leaving this morning after 3 fabulous nights in an extremely beautiful part of the country. I've already recommended to a friend whose made a booking for this week. I would definitely book again, thank you so much Causeway Holiday Park.

2 tiny peeves are: 1. The website I booked the apartment through didn't mention it being part of a holiday park. It was a lovely surprise when we got there but I feel like we would have been better prepared for bringing the essentials with us if we had of known first. 2. My partner felt the double bed mattress could do with being changed

Ok but situated on holiday park near busy reception

It was reasonably comfortable and the location was good for visiting the North coast sites.

This apartment is located right next to the main carpark and reception area on a holiday park - we didnt feel the photograph and description on Booking.com adequately reflected this. No towels provided - needed to hire them! The apartment was not very clean. I cleaned muddy footprints and marks off the sofa!

Location was excellent - a short walk to the ferry and the chippy. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Apartment was basic but comfortable. Could do with a bit of an update.

It was cold on one night and we found the heaters didn't really do much.

Good location, unhygienic way of keeping apartments.

I liked the location and they showed football in the bar.

they charged me £5.50 for a child for 1 hour of swimming, even though I paid £900 for the apartment for the week. He suggested paying £20 a child for the week and they can attend the pool any day. After I paid the £60 on Saturday, they closed the pool Monday and Tuesday and on Wednesday changed the opening time to 4:30 pm. Completely ripped me off. Also, they didn't have the beds made on arrival. they had the sheets and pillowcases just sitting on the bed. And on top of that, they never cleaned the apartment once or give fresh towels all week. disgusted with this. When I questioned it at the end of the week, I was told I had to come to the reception and request for the room to be cleaned just like a hotel. pretty obvious none of them stayed in a hotel before, I don't know if they are just lazy or backward.

Great Holiday

We were self catering so brought our own food but there is a restaurant on site, Great entertainment our Daughter had great craic at the kids Karaoke, The pool is a great addition ,The Staff are very friendly, great location for touring the Causeway coast, we will defiantly return,

The pool can be costly but we found out at the end of the week that they do a weekly pass that would work out cheaper ( a bit late finding out for us) but we will get this the next time, we would have probably have known about this had we booked direct with the site,

the apartment itself was in a great location though it wasn’t the cleanest we had to clean as soon as landed the sofa was broke the shower door was broke the water tap done nothing but leek and the sink was blocked up, bunk beds the bolts where hanging off them could do with taking a bit more time and effort to sort these things out

The apartment could be giving a good deep clean. We also had friends and family stay at the same time as us and they all said the same thing about their apartments also. It is a basic apartment which was grand it just could have been giving a better clean.

Apartments were spacious, well equipped and felt really homely. Reception staff were so friendly and helpful. The bistro on site was really good value for money and the bar staff very welcoming. Short walk to all local amenities.
