It was conveniently located close to shops and a 20 minute walk from the city centre, cathedral and castle.
Being really picky, if staying as a family, longer than a weekend, a tumble dryer/tumble dryer function would be really useful.

Really lovely place, felt like an actual home with everything needed. Emma, the owner, was really quick to respond and helpful. Will definitely be staying here again.

Location .beds were fantastic.
Property looked tired.needs updating specially in the bedrooms.

Family-style home experience, somewhat as if living in the 1940's. Quaint and unique. For a single night's stay and being in transit over a 22 day holiday, the residence was adequate.
Not exactly in "centre city" of Carlisle and a bit difficult to get to/from with heavy bags given all the construction in the city and cabs/uber refusing to go into the city. One bath upstairs had to serve three of us and the eating table in the front room was rather small. There is a nice back porch/garden area with nothing in it...a missed opportunity where some sitting chairs and perhaps a few flower pots would have made it a pleasant place to sit rather than veing a vacant area.
