Almgasthaus Glocknerblick

Beautiful location on top of the mountain, with wonderful views. The property is very easy to find using both Google Maps and Waze. I had read some comments saying that there were no signs, but honestly, they are not necessary at all – the route is very simple and easy to follow. The hosts were extremely kind, friendly and welcoming.

Partly my mistake, as I didn't read the room description carefully enough and didn't realize that our room had a shared bathroom and shared showers. I understand that there are also rooms with private bathrooms, but unfortunately we were unable to change our room. Another inconvenience was that the hot water is turned off at 9:00 PM. We arrived later in the evening, so unfortunately we had to take a cold shower. The restaurant also had very limited options on the menu and closed quite early for dinner – around 5:30 PM, if I remember correctly. Perhaps this is normal in Austria, but for us it felt very early, as in Romania dinner is usually between 7:00 and 9:00 PM.

Csodálatos helyen fekszik, már az odavezető út is lenyűgöző (de tériszonyosoknak csak óvatosan :) ). Nagyon kedves, segítőkész a személyzet! Nagyon finom a vacsora, a reggeli. Közvetelnül a mormoták, tehenek szomszédságában, friss levegő, lenyűgöző panoráma.

Aussergewöhnlich schöne Hütte, so sauber und so hochwertig und aufwendig renoviert, nur zu empfehlen!

Das die Toilette am Gang war, das wussten wir aber! Die Toiletten und Duschen sind zwar am Gang, aber sehr sauber…

Lovely hotel at the top of the mountain, the drive up there was scary but worth it for the beautiful views and the peace and quiet. Separate shower room which was lovely and clean. Toilet was down the hall again lovely and clean. Sink in the room which was useful. Room was very comfortable with stunning views from the balcony. Food on the evening was delicious and breakfast in the morning was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
