Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was outstanding. Value for money was great, especially compared with other offers in the area.

There is no elevators and the bathrooms may benefit from some renovation. But they were more than decent.

Awesome stay!

Perfect overnight stay on the road from Italy to Munich. Stunning views, great mountain hiking starting just at the front door, quiet, clean and cosy. Great restaurant with local specialties - we had two types of Röstli and a kinderschnitzel, and they were great. Good shop just across the bridge with local cheese and other dairy products plus souvenirs and snacks - try the Bündner Nusstorte, it‘s a must! We had family room at the 3rd floor with big bed and two smaller beds. Bathroom is spacious, with everything you need and no flaws. Also, check out the local Rheinwald museum in the Gemeindehaus (5 mins walk uphill). It‘s open 9:00-21:00 everyday, has an interactive exhibition about the history of the valley, and we spend some good 30 mins there with kids.

First, as everything in Switzerland - price. Also, note that the two extra beds in the family room are located on a loft platform, accessible via a steep ladder. Although our kids loved it, we decided to move our younger one to the big bed below, as the entrance to the platform is just a hole, to which he could fall.

A wonderful place to relax and unwind.

It was a wonderful hotel — this is the third time I’ve stayed there. Its location overlooks the river and is in the heart of the town. Clean and comfortable.

The prices are somewhat high, and the breakfast offers a limited selection. The restaurant experience differs from the previous host — I believe the variety of dishes used to be better in the past.

Relaxing time in a charming Swiss town

So charming! Great location and easy access to the road. Outdoor dining was a favorite of my family….also an excellent breakfast each morning. We had the family room with bunk beds which worked so well. Cozy beds/great comforters. The restaurant was exceptional in both quality and variety.

Perfect overnight stay from Italy to Germany.

We stayed there on our way back from Italy to Germany. Perfect room for a family of 4. Kids had two beds on elevated mezzanine level. Very spacious with great mountain and river views. Breakfasts was amazing! Kids loved the stay. Staff very friendly too.

our room was pretty spacious and even allowed us to work for a few hours at the table before heading up the mountain. We got a good nights sleep and were totally relaxed. The breakfast was a lovely and tasty start into the day

Great for an overnight stay on a bicycle trip

Bicycles can be stored safely in a cellar "garage" overnight, great location as an overnight stop on a bicycle tour from Chur to Chiavenna. Good dinner and lovely breakfast, friendly staff.

While everything was pleasant, in comparison the overnight stay was a bit more expensive than comparable establishments.

location is very good. right on the grand tour of na Switzerland. the food was local and fresh. we liked it very much. the service was amazing, the waitress was very friendly and helpful. the room was clean, silent and spacious.

a hotel where staff really care

it was right on Route 6 bike trail. but more importantly was the staff. we had been cycling for 7 hours in heavy rains and the route was all uphill. when we arrived at the hotel dripping wet, the staff took our clothes and dried them. we then found out the San Bernardino Pass was closed to cyclists as there was too much snow. so the staff helped us with figuring out the bus for the next day and one that would take bikes. the staff were really very very kind.
