A truly hidden villa in Ubud but with many disadvantages stay with care

The villa was indeed a hidden gem in the jungle, when the weather is good it seems all good and you are far away from the outside world. But take note here, it only applies to good weather. Most of the staff here are helpful too while the most uneasy way of communication is whenever you need help, there is no phone to call to reception, which they also don't have one. You can only look for an online account, which replies you sometimes in short time like 3-5min sometimes like 15-20min, that when you are in urgent situation, there is no one to save you.

The reception is very unprofessional which is currently just a small area under renovation. The villa itself is nice in good weather but pool temperature is very good, especially during rain season, so basically it is only like a decoration. Reception staff and kitchen staff constantly recognize our room number wrongly, we also have two room numbers on our room key which we asked several rounds but still cannot get clear answer. Worst case is after hours of rain thousands of bugs fly into our villa public area due to the light, we have no choice but to spray them and ends up we have a few hundreds of dead bugs/flies all over the area, in washroom, bed, tables that we eat, and of course the food and drinks we put outside. Yet the reception staff don't consider this is an issue after we report to them, and simply sent people to clean it without any apology. We checked out early and wasted our 2-night stay money and moved to somewhere else in the end.

Best stay in Indonesia!

This has been my best stay in all of Indonesia! Although it’s a bit far from the center and you need a motorbike or taxi to get there, it was absolutely worth it. The place is very peaceful, with beautiful views and fresh air. We had our own private pool, where we could swim anytime, and the villas are spaced out to ensure privacy, which is perfect if you’re traveling as a couple or for a honeymoon. Breakfast was punctual and tasty, and the staff were extremely attentive to everything we requested. I highly recommend Hideaway Villas Bali for anyone looking for a tranquil and private stay with top-notch service!

Nothing really, but if I have to say something: too many stairs up and down to get to the villa with our luggage. But they can help you!

Aside from the above, the forest is calming and the beds are comfortable.

The breakfast is wonderful, especially for avocado sandwiches, the best recommendation for the avocado toast.

The bath tub was leaking🥲 The location is a little bit too far away from the downtown.

A truly hidden resort, too hidden.

The Villa in itself is really nice. Unfortunatly being completly in the jungle you don't get much sun so using the pool is not that easy because it's really cold water. The people that took care of us were really nice, attentive service.

The location is truly something to consider. The Villa is not very far in terms of km from Ubud centre but unfortunatly the condition of the roads make the trip very hard. It takes 40 min to go to Ubud centre and it was really hard to find drivers willing to pick us up in such a remote location. The accomodation should provide a shuffle service or private drivers to make it easier for guest that don't want to rent a scooter.

Privacy issues should be mentioned in advance

The view is great and luxurious.

There is no privacy in the hotel, especially around the private pool and bathroom. The pool area has no walls—only a few trees—so neighbors and staff can easily see you while you’re using it. The bathroom is also open, meaning anyone nearby can hear you. The room is open to insects and has no way to keep them out. At night, it gets very cold, and there are no heating options available.

Relaxing nature experience

The location was beautiful and we really enjoyed the private pool and massive bathtub. Our room came with a comfortable king sized bed, great outdoor style bathroom and a well stocked mini bar. Cant wait to see the property once all developed. The staff were also very lovely. The jungle view was refreshing and relaxing.

The property is still under construction so there wasn’t a restaurant on site yet. However we had no issues and could easily use Grab to have food delivered and the property made sure to get your breakfast order in for the next day.

Worst villa ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are quite dissatisfied with various aspects of this hotel. First, there is a musty smell in the room. We reported it to the security staff, but they said almost every room is like this. Second, we wanted to take a bath, but it takes 45 minutes to get hot water. If we want to fill the tub, who knows how long we’d have to wait... Since check-in, during the 30 minutes, we’ve already killed mosquitoes, moths, and even found ants on the bed. This is much worse than we expected. Lastly, we originally planned to rent a motorcycle to go out, but the mountain roads here are too steep and unsafe for us to ride. Considering all these reasons, we had originally booked staying for senven days. We asked that we are willing to pay for one night’s stay and check out tomorrow. But! They don’t agree this solution. If you are considering of the hotel to stay, consider it completely before you make a decision!!!!!!!!!

Overall did enjoy it but didn’t feel like I got my moneys worth.

The villa was beautiful and very clean. Bed was comfortable. Staff super friendly. It’s a bit of a drive from the main centre but not too far and 20 mins to the famous rice terrace.

First night couldn’t sleep because of the jungle noises but got used to it the following nights. Pool was very clean but cold and didn’t really use it much at all besides a quick 5 minutes dip. Breakfast was very basic .. you order one main and one beverage .. portions were tiny .. compared to other hotel breakfasts which are often buffet breakfasts we didn’t quite feel full and needed a meal very soon after .. I would suggest if they could introduce a fruit bowl + choice of 2 beverages (hot and cold)

Lovely, chill and luxurious

Big private pool, lovely rooms and bathrooms, really clean, great aircon, excellent staff, supplied you with bug spray, room bug spray and a plug in and comfy beds, nice breakfasts and you could order breakfast, lunch and dinner which was handy!

Freezing cold pool, although would be great in the heat but we had rain majority of the time haha, weird windows that are slatted so technically never closed although I will say barely any bugs came in so it didn’t matter too much. Super windy and bad roads to get to it though, at least a 30 min drive to get into the main part due to traffic

Great property, 30min from Ubud centre, in the jungle with friendly helpful staff

We had 3 bedroom villa. Very nice property. Clean, spacious and with amenities. Away from city's hustle, some 30min in taxi from the centre, in the middle of jungle. There were 17 villas in total, all sold out, but we hardly saw any other guests. Our windows were facing all lush green. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Ready to guide us about Ubud, attractions and planning our day. Available on WhatsApp promptly. We asked for help with kitchen burner and safety locker, and they arrived pretty soon. We informed the staff about breakfast on WhatsApp previous day before 8pm, and it was provided in the morning timely. Portions were a bit less, but still good. They prepare breakfast on site, while rest of the ordered food (lunch, dinner) are being delivered from outside restaurants.

Property is still being developed, should be ready by 2026 - reception, restaurant, office, parking. Not a complaint though, in fact, it would be even better with all in place:). Property is, as name suggests, hide away from the city hustle, so a great option if one is looking for it. One needs a transport to make it to the city area. There is nature all around, and at times even in the room:). Pool water gets cold overnight, we tried before lunch, may be better option is to jump in around 2pm+. We used body gel as the soap bar was not there.

When i first booked the villa, i was ensured by the property that i wont find any insects or small animals When i arrived they made me sign a paper saying that I might encounter these insect and animals and that they might not be able to remove them from the room I got to the room and found multiple big insects like big ants and spider inside the room itself and around the pool area I checked out on the same day and they told me I won’t get my money back. They didn’t even offer half the money I paid for and that I will lose my money. They were really not helpful and changed their word If i knew this i wouldnt have booked from the start

Lovely birthday stay

The villa was very nice, lovely jungle feeling to it. Staff were lovely and surprised me for by birthday which was great as I was a solo traveller. I shared that the WiFi wasn’t great and they called somebody in to get this sorted the next day. They also provided a repellant kit which was helpful and came in to use. Easy communication through WhatsApp. Flower bath was great but took them 2 hours so maybe do this when you’re out. Overall a nice stay and would recommend. Thank you!

No hand soap however dental kits and shaving kits, loofahs etc were provided which was great. Pool was cold which I was not aware of when booking so didn’t use this during my stay sadly. Very noisy at night due to sound of pool, nature, river and air conditioning all at once. Struggled to sleep without ear plugs but this is no fault of the staff. Location is a little out of the way. Not within walking distance of anything so transport is essential. Very secluded and you do not see any other guests and there is no communal areas so something to consider if you’re a solo traveller like myself.

A Peaceful Paradise in Ubud 🌿

We had the most amazing stay at Hideaway Village – a true hidden gem! The villa was stunning, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. Big thanks to Pande, who was incredibly helpful and kind throughout our stay – nothing was ever too much trouble. The breakfast was delicious, the atmosphere was so calming, and the whole place felt like a private retreat. Can’t wait to come back – highly recommend to anyone visiting Ubud!

Being in a natural forest environment, it’s expected to see bugs, geckos, mosquitoes, and so on. The only thing I wasn’t too happy about was seeing a few ants running around my bed — but I understand that’s something beyond the control of the Hideaway Village staff.

The calmness and the well hospitality.

Privacy isn’t fully guaranteed, and the bathroom is prone to insects, although a net can be installed for some protection. No hand soap was provided, and the dresser is quite small. The pool filter only runs from 8 AM to 5 PM, which isn’t ideal for those who want to swim throughout the day. Additionally, the receptionist was consistently annoying when asked about breakfast each day. It would be much more convenient if they asked for guests’ breakfast preferences at check-in and allowed for changes later if needed.

Amazing services, professional staff

The staff were very welcoming and helpful and always smiling. Pande, our contact was extremely helpful and answered any questions promptly. It was our first time in Bali and experiencing an accommodation of this kind in the middle of the nature and it was amazing. Hideaway village was the perfect place for it. Very private with nice views and private pool. We would definitely recommend and hope to be back soon.

Loved everything about this villa , we will be returning for a long stay soon . Serene memories. I wish there was an option to post videos to do justice to pictures. I made more videos of the forest view and amazing water streams flowing through the forest .

The perfect villa getaway

The villa was situated 20 minutes outside of Ubud main area by car but nestled in a gorgeous jungle and the whole villa was absolutely perfect. Pande was the most welcoming and friendly face we have met in Bali. Any query we had he would immediately answer our messages & he helped us settle into our room nicely. Making sure to send updates and help us with our bags when he could. He was brilliant and made our stay even better!

hidden jewel in the jungle!

It was the best stay ever! starting with the staff that was waiting for us with the best orange juice ever (specially made from Dede to us), even tough we arrived around 1am (due to our late flight). as it was our 1 year anniversary and honeymoon, they decorated the room and bathtub with beautiful flowers!! we got to choose our breakfast from a menu (included in the stay), and I highly recommend the avocado toast (soooo good). the room is soo nice with a big (!!) bad and a very nice view. the bathroom is sooo pretty, with a big shower (awesome water pressure and temperature), a bath (huge, but unfortunately not enough hot water to fill it all the way), all the bathroom amenities you might need (from shaving kit to showercap), sandals and a big towel and nice robe (and they all smell sooooo good). the swimming pool is amazing and we enjoyed having our breakfast sitting outside with the view. we enjoyed our stay sooo much and I can’t wait to go back there! even though the hotel is still with a soft I would highly recommend. i would like to leave a special thanks to Dede and all the staff, they made us fill sooo welcomed s2

An amazing hidden location in the jungle with exceptional staff (especially Dede who assisted us and took care of our every need). The village is very new and is currently being expanded, with many more houses to come 🙏We can only recommend this for a unique experience in Ubud!

We had a memorable staycation here in Hideaway Village Ubud

The staff, especially Dede, were all very hospitable and accommodating. We arrived late midnight but they still welcomed us with full smile on their faces. Despite of their soft-opening they still gave their best to give us exceptional service. The villa we stayed in was very clean, comfortable, aesthetic and relaxing. The view from our room was breathtaking which overlooking the rainforest. We had a great experience staying here. It feels like home away from home. Definitely coming back again here. Highly recommended!

Вид из окна, он просто шикарный, уединённость, вид из окна или вид из бассейна, на пальмы или деревья, воздаётся ощущение что ты живёшь в джунглях в полной безопасности. Читал отзывы ранее о насекомых, мы ничего такого не встретили, на вилле были средства от комаров, но комаров тоже не было. Был геккон на вилле, но гекконы живут во всех домах в убуде, но и он свалил увидев нас. Доставки и такси приезжали в любую погоду. Персонал выше всяких похвал, спасибо огромное сотрудникам Панде и Фрида, очень вежливые и желующие тебе оказать сервис или помочь. Завтрак подавали на вилле, очень крутой сервис. Мы были очень рады что попали сюда, это был лучший сервис, лучший отдых. Мы были рады что выбрали в районе Убуда этот отель, т.к это получился очень крутой опыт что ты живёшь в дикой природе, а не в центре убуда, а в убуд ты едешь только когда ты хочешь. Но и огромная часть достопримечательностей в убуде находилось рядом с твоей виллой, рисовые террасы, парк слонов и пр, мы добирались за 10-20минут без пробок, если ты живёшь в самом убуде, то ты будешь ехать еще минут 30 по убуду

Hôtel loin de tout et pas aussi bien que prévu…

Hôtel en travaux, pas de réception, pas de restaurant, pas de massages. Ce n’est qu’après la réservation qu’on apprend qu’il y a des travaux en cours et à aucun moment nous sommes informés que le restaurant est fermé, ce qui nous oblige à prendre un taxi pour aller de restaurer. Le voisinage est bruyant, les portes ferments à peine.

Śniadania - Niestety przed trwającą budowę hotel nie ma jeszcze restauracji na ten moment przez co śniadania są dowożone z restauracji niedaleko które potrafiły być letnie lub już chłodne.
