Wonderful quiet place outside the crowded Ubud. Pool is beautiful and clean. Fresh breakfast is served to your villa with enough good choices. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. After we left they discovered that we forgot a pair shoes, the arranged sending it by post to our next hotel on time!

Amazing villa with private pool

We loved our stay at Alam Dania Cottage. The room was beautiful, the bed was comfortable and the hot water was plentiful (this is important when using the bath!).

The property is a little hard to find and is located about 20 mins outside Ubud central. This was perfect for us as we wanted to relax. If you prefer a firm massage then the massage offered is not for you.

Alam Dania cottage

Beautiful setting, lovely room with outdoor shower and pool. I liked the jungle, temple like setting. The bed was comfortable, some nice friendly staff and owners thank you. The massages were great and a reasonable price by Chandra. Komang was a great driver and took me to some nice places and restaurants. He knew what I liked.

Bathtub wasn't working. Issues with hot water in room and bathtub. Wooden villa has no outside view. With walls you can see only within villa. Far off views aren't there. Found it overpriced for the facilities.

Breathtaking scenery and lovely staff.

Gorgeous surroundings. Really peaceful in amongst rice fields. Breakfast was lovely. Staff were extremely helpful and attentive. Very clean and luxurious.

It is 10-15 mins drive to Ubud. There is a shuttle that will take you for 75k each way to Ubud palace. We had a moped to get around which was a lot easier. The entrance of the cottage is off the road along a path for 100m.

Amazing. Unique experience

First of all I must mention an incredibly kind and attentive staff! Special thanks for satisfying our special request with the tub. The villa itself is also lovely and from our bed we could watch ducks and other birds. It is only reachable by motorbike + foot, which is ok if you have no mobility issues.

Not a disadvantage at all but just be aware that birds and insects in the jungle are very loud at night. I would suggest improving breakfast but again we are 100% happy that we chose this place

We stayed for 10 days at the wooden villas. It was the best accommodation we could think of. Super friendly and welcoming staff and owner. Very special and luxurious design for a great price! There is a lot of passion and heart in this place. We loved the food they served and they organized most activities for us. Its located very close to Ubud center, but completely in middle of peaceful natural environment. Whenever in Bali again, we will stay at Alam Dania.

This place is great if you are looking for a calm and spacious place to stay outside of Ubud.

The place is really charming, locating directly in the rice fields (we deliberately did not want to stay in Ubud city). The staff is friendly and flexible. We rented scooters at the hotel and ordered lunch and dinner directly to our villa. The massages were amazing, even our kids really loved them. The breakfast was lovely with fresh juice, fruit and a choice of either pancakes, toast, eggs or Indonesian food.

the free shuttle to Ubud was reduced to only 10 am and 7 p.m. If you needed it in between, you had to pay 68k IDR extra for each pick-up/drop-off. The food was really nice, some of the meals could have been a bit bigger.

Idyllic place!

Everything was perfect and idyllic, better than I imagined. If I'm ever coming back to Bali, I'm going to stay there again. The stuff was amazing, very helpful and friendly. Communication through WhatsApp worked great too. Breakfasts were delicious and lovely served, same goes for the food from the menu. We tried a few different dishes and all of them were very tasty, also served in your own villa. Whatever we needed or ordered has been accommodated/delivered very quickly. The coconut scrub with massage and facial were really good too. There are shuttle buses to Ubud, but if you can't get ready on time (like us) you can get Grap from the main road for about RP80. I'd highly recommended the two bedroom villa.

The only thing it was missing, in my opinion, were towel hooks in the bathroom, and I would suggest to bring your own hairdryer if you're going to need it as those in the villa work very slow. The only thing I didn't like, it was the fact, that I could only stay there for 4 nights 😉. So yes, there was nothing I didn't like!

Be careful! We booked this property - Alam Dania cottage, but were booked in another place deceptively/ ambiguously called Villas - Alam Dania. You need to walk about 300 meters in the middle of paddy fields to reach the villas and the location on Google maps is not accurate. So especially if you are checking in late at night - you are in for a nightmare!! Punia seemed like a nice guy and the villas were good but this is fraud. Please double check with them over a message which property they will actually put you up in.

the location is special because it is deep in the rice fields…unless you have a motorbike it’s about a six minute walk to the parking area. not a problem but a logistical consideration if you have a car. google maps location is not correct either - need to find the Alan Dania cooking school in town and have them lead you to the location. no signage from the street for the cottages

I don't like that by the shower , near by the showers stand it has plants that is not removed so it is hard to stand and showers...the plants need to be removed away from the stand area for a easy to showers so it not touch my legs when showers...breakfast menu need to change to different dish or had more options so if we stay there longer we can pick different dish on breakfast....otherwise it is good here..thanks
