I would have no hesitation in choosing this hotel the next time I visit Liverpool. It's perfect from a visitors point of view. Although situated in the centre of Liverpool One, a busy and lively area, it is quiet and didn't affect a light sleeper like me. The staff is super friendly as it seems are all 'scousers '. Rooms are cleaned to a high standard and so I can highly recommend a stay at this hotel and this amazing city.

This was a great hotel for a short city break. Location was so central and really convenient. Our room was lovely and clean, I particularly liked the minimal wooden decor as it made the room feel fresh. Breakfast pastries and coffee was appreciated each morning and staff were friendly. Recommend for anyone visiting Liverpool.

We stayed at School Lane for two nights and, overall, had a pleasant stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep, which was the most important thing for us. The hotel was also very quiet – despite being in the city centre, we couldn't hear any outside noise. The location is perfect for exploring Liverpool, and the staff were very accommodating in allowing us to leave our luggage after checkout and collect it later in the day.
There were a few areas that could be improved. Our room only had one dining chair and no comfortable armchair, which was difficult as my husband has a bad back and had to lie on the bed because there was nowhere else comfortable to sit. There were no drawers for clothes and, although the room was spacious, there was very little surface space to put belongings. A small fridge would also have been useful, and the toilet roll provided was very thin.
Breakfast was disappointing. It was very basic, consisting of coffee and pastries only. It would have been nice to have tea and some fruit juice available as well.
Overall, the excellent bed, peaceful atmosphere and fantastic location made for an enjoyable stay, but a few small improvements would make it much better.
