Great lodges in a good location.

Fabulous location near Loch Lomond. Good sized lodge. Lots of utilities in the lodge. Great sized bathroom & ensuite. Comfortable sofas & dining chairs. Everything was really clean, warm & had comfortable beds. Plenty of towels too. Great walk in wardrobes with lots of shelves & hanging space. The two twin rooms are on the small side but perfectly formed. The Cruin restaurant serves great food at reasonable prices. Only a 5 minute walk.

There was a wedding on in The Cruin. Music on loud until midnight. Roads are pot holed, could do with resurfacing. Lots of new lodges being added so hopefully this will be resolved.

The design and fittings are of high quality.

No privacy with seating in terrace or salon you have to close the curtain because there’s a neighbors passing by car or walking. And also recommend to provide small fan in each room because sometimes the weather is hot.

Great property, clean, new and comfortable.

Location was good on shore of Loch Lomond. But, it was close to a busy public beach/park and the traffic was pretty busy. House was fine. Very clean and roomy. Setting was fine, although basically on the edge of a parking lot and access road to lodges further up the road. All in all, a good stay.

Better than expected!

Spacious, modern, with excellent facilities (especially the two bathrooms with both bathtub and shower). Green patch outside and access to the lake. No view but the large windows facing trees and vegetation make up for it. We really enjoyed staying inside during some heavy rain, it felt cozy. Personal car park right next to it, convenient for luggage or groceries.

Really can't complain about anything, better than we expected! Perhaps the nearby road was busier than expected but didn't really cause us any trouble going to and from the lodge, not was the noise a problem

Very nice but make sure you ask for the exact lodge number if you arrive after 530pm and know exactly where it is

We arrived at 7pm after reception closed and the details we were given were not very clear. The map showed us a different lodge that someone was already staying at. We were driving round for 25 minutes but eventually someone showed us where to go but it was not obvious at all. The number on the lodge 27 we stayed at were not the given on any correspondence. The section it was in CRUIN was also not on any correspondence. We tried all the key safes on the whole site with the code we were given and tried to open doors of every other lodge. The contact number given went straight to answer phone and I was just about to give up and book somewhere else until someone helped us. After a nine hour journey this wasn’t an ideal start. But when we found it was brilliant and would definitely stay again.

Perfect size. Clean and quite quiet, despite proximity to busy road. Very well equipped.

Fan in en-suite wouldn’t switch off so was going constantly until hubby switched it off at isolator switch. So facilities on site - eg cafe

MacSkyline Lodge at Cruin

The Lodge was amazing and near Balloch which was ideal as we ate out every night and we managedvto get an early entry and a late check out wouldrecommend these lodges

The lodge and location are stunning, staff around site are wonderful. Needs some minor additions.

The lodge is superb looking, in a great location close to lake and Balloch amenities, reception staff were very helpful.

Booking mentioned it had air-con which was one of the reasons I booked this property, but it didn't Road noise is continuous, had to open windows to get some air through the lodge. Would also like safety bars in at least one bathroom, parents are elderly and struggle in showers without them.
