Unclean, smelling of dog urine.

The property was spacious enough and the hot tub was good. It was well equipped.

There was a strong smell of dog urine, and dog hair was all over the sofa, rug, and embedded in the carpets. Mud splatters on the doorframe added to the unkempt feel. We were also disappointed that there was no view of the loch as expected. Overall, a disappointing stay that could have been much better with proper cleaning. There was no view of the loch from the lodge and we were unable to get down to the lochside due to a wedding which was being held at the nearby wedding venue having exclusive access. I feel this should have been communicated directly to us prior to our arrival. I have contacted the owners regarding our concerns about the cleanliness of the property but they have informed me that because I didn't complain upon arrival (it was late and all we wanted to do was eat and enjoy the hot tub within the time constraints) they're not willing to offer a refund. £222 plus £25 dog charge for one night is overpriced in my opinion given the poor hygiene of the place.

In need of refurbishment and not worth the price

The bedroom and bathroom was spacious, tastefully decorated and well equipped.

Having contacted the owner on check out apparently this is recently purchased and undergoing repair, however this was not stated when booked and certainly not reflected in the price. Cleanliness and maintenance especially in the lounge/kitchen were not good to,say the least.

Strange smell like wet dog smell which given the amount charged for pets seemed odd. Perhaps it was an off day for the cleaner as the mop bucket left was probably adding to the issue. Also we were given bleached towels which I would not expect for £230+ per night

Fantastic stay, great value for money and good host.

Communication from the host was fantastic throughout. The lodge was beautifully presented and well laid out. Bed was super comfy and the corner sofa with footstool in the livingroom made it so relaxing to lie back and watch TV with the fire going in the corner. Location is quiet and Beautiful. Hot tub was brilliant and was all set up for us arriving. I think this was great value for money and we loved the self check in. Will be recommending to everyone and already planning a return in August/September.

Definitely recommend

This property is in a great location, duck bay marina and Cameron house are nearby. There is also access to a private beach which we used prior to check in. You have full access to Sky and Netflix, the kitchen has everything you need, and the hot tub was ready for us arriving at 3.

My absolute only gripe was the heating was left on for us arriving and it was 20 degrees outside so it was far too hot when we got in and took a while for the temperature to come down.

The jacuzzi is something that you couldn’t miss.

I like the coziness of the property with the setting and it’s nicely furnished.

The key doesn’t lock the door. The windows can’t be closed. The WiFi doesn’t work.

Great for a couples getaway

The lodge was very easy to find. Beautiful surroundings, the lodge itself was beautifully decorated, full sky service as well for those who want a cosy night in. Only negatives for me was one of the cupboards had what looked like risotto rice all over the shelf which I cleaned up. The shower isn’t powerful at all but the temperature was excellent. For me the lodges should be adult only on that section due to the closeness of the lodges it wasn’t very relaxing having screaming kids either side of us. But I would 1000000000% stay here again.

The directions to the lodge were clear and easy to follow. The reminders and communication leading up to the stay were helpful especially in terms of completing the pre-visit hot tub waiver. It was very easy to access the lodge and didn't need to worry about coordinating with a person, which gave us flexibility. The tea and coffee and light breakfast selection were well-received after a long day of travel. The access to extra towels and shampoo and soap were very useful and appreciated during our stay. We enjoyed the close proximity to the lake and the safe and neighborly feel of the lodge.

We would have felt more comfortable to leave the keys in the lockbox upon departure in case anything were to happen and it wasn't found the way we left it.

Cosy couple and dog staycation ❤️

We stayed in Leven lodge, the lodge was cosy, spotless and had all amenities for self catering. Each room has a heater perfect for cold weather, easy to access WiFi and TV with usual streaming channels. The staff are off site but easily contactable via phone and reply very quickly. Bonus that the lodge was dog friendly, but given the Scottish weather bring extra towels and blankets to cover/protect the furniture. The site was quiet and clean with close access to a small beach area as well as being central to the loch Lomond surrounding area making for easy day trips. I enjoyed the hot tub and it was also very clean and relaxing and with good privacy. We very much enjoyed our stay and would come back and recommend to others. Thank you ❤️

Nothing to dislike, only suggestion would be to consider a garden/outdoor hose for cleaning off dogs.

The Lodge in itself was lovely, rooms were a good size and the location to the Loch was excellent. Literally 5 minute drive to the local Co-op in Balloch, so easy to get supplies. Kitchen was fully fitted, inc large american style fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. It also had en-suite to master bedroom as well as family bathroom.

Personally, for me and the kids, the mattresses were too springy, so not good sleep 🙄. Also felt that the lodge could do with a re-fresh coat of paint indoors, the walls looked a bit tired. Other than that, everything else was fab.

Comfortable beds, well equipped in a tranquil spot that made you feel as if you were far away from city life. But near places to see and things to do. And it took dogs!
